Casey Cramer's role just got more important. I wonder if this isn't part of the plan to get Wilford more PT, by creating a place on ST's?
TE Sean Ryan waived? Tight end Sean Ryan, signed as a free agent this offseason, was seen walking out of the locker room Thursday afternoon with his belongings in a box. When asked if he was leaving, Ryan said, “Yeah.” The organization? “Yeah.” Palm Beach Post: Palm Beach & Treasure Coast news, sports, entertainment, jobs, cars, homes

Jeez the info on that scouts website is bad. Looks like the guy is about 6'4" - 6'5" 305 lbs according to the bears roster. NFL Events: Draft Player Profiles - Kirk Barton He was a 7th rounder for the Bears this year.
like this from his profile Barton was named All-Big Ten Conference first-team in 2007. He allowed just one sack while registering 74 knockdowns with eight touchdown-resulting blocks. He made seven of those touchdown blocks on running plays, as the Buckeyes averaged 196.4 yards per game on the ground.
I dont think Ryan is a big loss. not the way Fasano and Martin played last week anyways. As for Barton... any depth along the OL is pretty welcome right now i'd say.
Am I wrong for feeling bad for Justin Peelle? I know he is with the Falcons now, but I thought Peelle was a good player here for us.They chose Ryan over Peelle and now both are gone.
Glad to see Miami picking up some Stark County products with Alleman (Go Tigers!) and now Barton...even if he is a stinking Perry Panther.
Barton is a wonderful run Blocking Tackle but he will more likely play RG for us which is even better.
Kirk Barton doesn't have the lateral footspeed to play OT in this league as anything but a spot starter, but he should be versatile enough to kick inside and be an adequate backup player. He isn't an overly strong player, who sinks his hips well and can redirect. Rather he is a bit sluggish, lacks initial pop and can be beaten when the defender crosses his face. He isn't dog meat, but he shouldn't be seen as a conquering hero by any means.
I can see him at RG and only RG. He actually was quite impressive before he injured himself at the senior bowl.
Say what you want but Martin played the best I have ever seen him, he caught some really nice balls that he would normally drop.
