I’m right there with you dude. I’ve only skipped out on one Dolphins season in my lifetime. That was the Cleo lemon season. This is getting dangerously close that. Think I’ll give them one more week because I’m a moron, but I’m done after that.
Guess last years success had a lot more to do with Fitzi. When you have a good QB it gives the whole team a different vibe.
I thought Chan Gailey was bad but then they went two OC. I don’t know how they could make a decision as bad as that one but they did.
The two OC decision is worth firing Flores alone. Anybody who makes that call isn’t who you want calling the shots. ****ing stupid!
And just think, we don't even own our first round pick. What a moronic trade. We trade up for a slot WR who doesn't make a difference in the game because our QB/OL play is so poor. Our offense has scored 24 points through 3 games. 24 points!!! WTF!!!!
No call for that late hit on brissett eh? He pushed him.. Weak... but just about as weak as the call on Holland
Throw the damn ball or move brissett. Jeez... brutal. but look at those routes on the replay. What the hell kind of plays are these guys calling? Who's designed this offense
And they still won more games without him than with him Don't get me wrong I wish Fitz was in there right now but giving all the credit exclusively to Fitz makes no sense.
He's a good slot receiver. You don't pick slot receivers in the Top 10, unless you're Grier of course.
I can only imagine the frustration of the receivers. All that training for the season and the ball rarely gets to them.
sure looks like the refs hosed us on that spot Remember what I said last week thought about only being able to get away with the QB sneak and Brissett for so long? Someone here said he's a big guy, it's a no brainer! Yeah.. Ok... It's obvious it was coming, and it's easy to stop.
I think deep down we all knew it was a disaster waiting to happen and we all just crossed our fingers and hoped all the youth would just automatically leap upward and carry us. It's clear that for whatever reason, we completely struck out landing a real OC candidate, and instead we did this ridiculous move out of sheer desperation. If Flores makes it through the season, Ross should open the checkbook for a top OC or we will continue to just tread water. This is an offensive league, we NEED an offense that scores in bunches, there is simply no way around it.
Well, it looks like that's that. It's going to be a long season. Continued platitudes isn't going to cut it. Ross is going to have to ask questions of Flores and Grier and I would think someone is going to be fired, except... who is the replacement?
I don't think I can watch this team anymore this year. I've got enough problems to deal with at home that I can't make these clowns another one every week. Now I know what Cleveland fans felt like failed rebuild after failed rebuild after stockpiling draft picks. Wow; what a complete waste of a huge opportunity to right the ship.
I'd say we need to fire the OC ... but which? Both? And who can we get to replace them? I lose more faith in Grier by the day, and Flores ... isn't that much far behind. He's a good defensive coordinator and a good motivator type coach, but the offensive ineptitude is stunning.
Meanwhile, we could have stayed put and got Chase who's maybe the best talent in this draft. Or traded with SF with a major haul and taken Slater at 12 and not fielded the worst OL in Dolphins history. Or taken Parsons who looks like a beast. Or moved up to 6 and taken Sewell. But no, Grier goes with a slot WR.
I wasn't making a pro Tua argument. I am saying the team wasn't just carried by Fitz. They won even when Tua was mediocre and when Fitz was mediocre too.
