People never discuss us as a joke franchise like the lions or browns etc..
The reality is only 3 teams in the entire NFL have 1 playoff win since 2000.The Browns, the Redskins, and yes your Miami Dolphins!
This is actually why we older fans have zero tolerance or patience for these ****ty teams put together by regime after regime!.It seems like every decision made is the wrong one.
Shame on me for falling for fools gold again after a 10 win season.I truly expected 10 or 11 wins before I saw them play the pats.I truly thought Flores was the answer but even his defence has fallien apart. If we don't turn this around they all need to go
They stink on all 3 phases!

You're the biggest Tua hater I've ever seen and you thought they were going to win 11 games before the season?

I thought they were going to win 11 games because I was fooled into thinking the defense was good enough to compensate for Tua's shortcomings.

That's not true. Lions and Bengals have 0 playoff wins since 2000. Actually, the Bengals have 0 playoff wins since 1991 while the Lions have 0 playoff wins since 1992. Also Lions and Browns are the only teams to go 0-16, and over two seasons 1-31 (Browns) and 2-30 (Lions). Worst we ever did post-merger was 7-25 over two seasons. So I don't think we're quite Lions/Browns/Bengals bad.

Worth noting that except for last year the Bills are also winless in the postseason since 1996. So while I think we're one of the 6 worst teams in the last 2 decades, I wouldn't put us top 3. Lions, Browns, Bengals come first. We're in the next group of Dolphins, Skins, Bills IMO.

Its funny how when I became a diehard fan about 30 years ago, all of those teams were among the most competitive in the entire league.

Im still laughing at people thinking we would be better with tua getting hurt. The two best drives we had all year were vs New England. Only two times we moved the ball at will all year. We got unlucky the oline decided to no show vs buffalo. You cant expect to win in the nfl with your backup qb.

You can't expect to have a winning season. You can expect to score some points and drive down the field though. The first three quarters of today's game were among the worst I've ever seen. At one point in the 4th quarter, our offense was averaging 2.44 yards per play.

I agree the offense has been abysmal. They cant even figure out how to use gaskins. I dunno if it’s because he cant block or what. We have zero identity on offense. They went to waddle what 3 times this whole game lol. Last week he had 13 catches for 58 yards. Everything they do swings wildly from week to week.

I don’t think anyone would have guessed our OL would be this bad. We’ve invested a lot of draft picks in it and traded up for an OL that you would have thought Grier was convinced would be good(I think he could be but is making a lot of rookie mistakes).

At the very least, I thought we’d have a decent OL, could run the ball, have a great defense and Tua would be serviceable IF he could stay healthy. That’s normally a recipe for 9-11 wins. At this point, none of those things have come true.

They won 6 with his below average play with Def and special teams Well both units have taken a step back and the offensive line with all those picks was supposed to take a step forward.and they flat out suck!

It's kind of ridiculous that you think Tua would have made no difference in that game yesterday.

Tua would have thrown accurately to Waddle on a lot of short passes. That alone adds an extra 50-100 yards, forces the coverage to play tighter and opens up the intermediate to Parker/Gisecki; neither of which saw a single toss until the end of the 3rd quarter.

In my opinion, Tua would have changed everything about that game.

Tua would probably have gotten carted off the filed again with some of the hits Brissett had to take.

You can’t have three people running the offense and have any sort of continuity or consistency. They are misusing the weapons they do have, and letting defenses dictate how the game is played when we have the ball. Whichever one of the three stooges said that we have to take what the defense gives us should be fired, as well as the one who called the safety play. If that’s the same person, so be it, but there needs to be some accountability soon, because this team is not ready to play, and no adjustments are being made - either in game or between games. I have no idea what they do from Monday to Saturday.

You must be related to Tua. He's an average QB at best with an average, at best, arm. Has he ever played a full season?

The question is about whether they would be better with Tua or Brissett. You don't need to move the goal posts.

Saying they are better with Tua is about the tamest compliment anyone could possible give Tua. Hardly praise worthy of "you must be related to Tua"

You don't have to think Tua is a good quarterback at all. But the absolute fact is Miami looks like an NFL offense and probably wins that game yesterday.

We didn't witness and NFL offense yesterday.

It's not blind hatred. It's my opinion. He was surrounded by multiple 1st rounders in college, that's why he looked so good. Do you watch college football? Who is the last good QB to come out of Alabama? The most recent one I can think of is Kenny Stabler. Over the past 10 years or so, all the great Alabama qbs have done nothing on the NFL. They were great because of the team around them. He's very undersized and does not have a strong arm and can't stay healthy. Yup, totally deserving of the number 5 pick in the draft. He may be better than brissett but that's not saying much. He'll be w backup or out of the league by the time his rookie contract is up.

I will agree with you on the offense part but we still would have lost with tua. He's not that big of a difference maker

A competent quarterback would have won that game. Tua is at least a competent quarterback even if you don't think he's a difference maker, which I disagree.

I posted this elsewhere but yeah, this is our last 25 years:

    (1) Shula leaves.
    (2) Dan leaves (after getting obliterated).
    (3) The unbalanced Wannstedt years.
    (4) Ricky Williams bails on the team.
    (5) Patriots Super Bowl(s).
    (6) Saban bails on the team.
    (7) Patriots Perfect Regular Season.
    (8) 1-15 season (before the Browns or Lions were a thing).
    (9) Home Play-off rout at the hands of the Ravens.
    (10) Henne failure.
    (11) Sparano failure.
    (12) Fans turn on Jeff Ireland.
    (13) Bully-gate w/ J. Martin.
    (14) Philbin failure.
    (15) Patriots Super Bowl.
    (16) 2016 Play-off appearance only to have RT17 be hurt and not play.
    (17) Patriots Super Bowl.
    (18) Osweiler/Cutler disaster.
    (19) Patriots Super Bowl.
    (20) OL Coach Cocaine/Prostitute Scandal.
    (21) Gase failure.
    (22) Shame/suffering of 2019's Tank
    (23) 2020's rise of Josh Allen.
    (24) Arrival at 2.5 year mark being <.500 under Flores/Grier
    (25) Selecting Tua > Herbert????

We average at least 1 horrible thing per year between our failures and the successes of our direct rivals.

I don't think there's a franchise that's suffered this much disgrace / embarrassment / let-down over the last 25 years. You've gone from Shula & Marino still being around in the late-90s to the low-lights and scandals listed above.

Hey, hey, hey....Ted Ginn over Brady Quinn was a win! Heck it's probably top-10 behind drafting Jake Long, getting 1 year of Chad Pennington, and all these awesome kickers we've lucked into.

You know what's amazing? Despite the massive letdown over the last 25 years the Dolphins STILL have 2nd highest winning percentage AND the 2nd most number of winning seasons since the 1970. Pittsburgh is #1 on both. Shows you how special Shula + Marino were.

We're a little worse on playoff stats. We're #7 in terms of making the playoffs, #8 in terms of playoff wins, and #9 in terms of SB wins.

You know what's even crazier? You could zoom in and find plenty more small but still frustrating moments:

    - Stephen Ross going behind Sparano's back to try and get Jim Harbaugh.
    - Jeff Ireland asking Dez Bryant if his mom was a prostitute.
    - Having multiple GM candidates say "no" before Dennis Hickey was given the job.
    - Countless players having success elsewhere: Wes Welker, Billy Turner, Ryan Tannehill, Minkah Fitzpatrick, etc.
    - Former coaches/execs have success: Randy Mueller, Scott Linehan, Jason Garrett, Dan Quinn, Mike Mularkey, Todd Bowles, Dave DeGuglielmo, Dan Campbell, etc.
    - Dealing with disgruntled / annoying players: Mike Wallace, Kenny Stills, etc.

Stephen Ross needs to sell.He spends alot of money but he has no clue how to hire somebody that can run a successful NFL franchise!
