Dolphins head coach Brian Flores said on Monday that he hoped that quarterback Tua Tagovailoa will be ready to go for their Week Six game against the Jaguars in London and the team took a step to clear the path back to the starting lineup. Tagovailoa has officially been designated to return from injured reserve. Tagovailoa went on injured reserve after injuring his ribs in the team’s Week Two loss to the Bills. Now that he’s designated to return, Tagovailoa will be able to take part in practice with the team on Wednesday. Assuming that all goes well in that session and the two next games, it seems likely that he will be starting for the third time this season. The Dolphins have lost the last three games with Jacoby Brissett at quarterback and losing to the winless Jaguars will be reason for concern regardless of who is at quarterback.
All depends on whether our defense shows up. If it does, then we should win unless Tua really blows because the Jags pass defense is 2nd worst in the NFL after Indy giving up an average passer rating of 115.5. If Tua can't do well against that bad a pass defense he's not the one. Lawrence is looking better and better, but he still has some accuracy issues from the pocket. Dangerous otherwise though. Anyway, it's a must-win game for Flores and a must-play-well game for Tua. I'm optimistic.
If we had any kind of pass defense, I would say we win the game easily. Unfortunately, we've shown that we don't.
I think he's going to play fairly well. The Jags are not a good team and he can beat them. We should win this game.
We're not facing Brady and Antonio Brown either though. Hopefully the offense and the defense has a much better showing this week.
This! I was at the game and Brady is on another level, it was ridiculous. This should be a win for us. However, we have a ton of issues, the Jags have a lot more.
He's available to play and practise. There's one today. They'll see how he does between now and the game.
I think I read somewhere that it's still questionable- they want to see how he practices today and tomorrow. But if he has two good practices then he's likely this week's starter.
What's the over/under on Tua coming off IR and returning to IR in the same week? I joke to keep from laying on the train tracks...
That's a real possibility if he comes back too early. Broken ribs don't completely heal in three weeks... It should normally take about six weeks.
