IMO, that has always been the case. There are just less big expose than there used to be. But at the same time, it is easier for regular people to just get information to everyone.

Will Watson be that much of an upgrade? With the way this team is playing right now the asking price of first rounders and whatever else they are asking will cripple this franchise for years to come. The season is over let's just ride it out.

There's a deadline friend. The Dolphins see an upgrade they should pounce. Especially at this cursed position. We get an instant top 10 QB. Tua has been 'ok' in his wheelhouse of plays, but Watson can run just about any play, throw anywhere on the field (with accuracy, and velocity) and has great pocket presence.

Yes, cause you're not considering the limited playbook (dink'n'dunk) game Tua plays. Teams catch onto that shiz fast. With Watson you open the playbook up wide. Watson stretches the field plain and simple. He's at least 5-6 spots ahead of Tua in what would be all teams starting QB.

I don't get you dolfans. Watson is what we all wanted Tua to be. He's Tua on steroids(hypothetically) Significant upgrade is an understatement.

The deadline is irrelevant when it comes to two bad teams. The reality is if they were going to do it they should have done it months ago. Doing it now only makes sense if the Texans lowered their price and there is zero indication that they have. What they are doing is spending months negotiating over a player they were never realistically going to trade for this year and accomplish nothing other than add a distraction to their team.

And nobody is questioning whether Watson is better than Tua.

if watson had zero legal issues there wouldn’t be a stink about it. Not to mention the type of legal issues he has is a huge topic in today’s society with the me too movement. Hell the panthers just got rid of a coach who started the season 7-0 because he didn’t do enough about a sexual assault report. This isnt a topic to mess around with nowadays. Watson is beyond radio active in my opinion.

Also the way flores struggles to answer those questions makes me wonder how he could possibly be a players coach. It literally looks like hes dying inside during that 2 min clip.

The cultural issues are horrendous. We've been a franchise with a lot of skeletons in the closet. Bullying, strip clubs, prostitution and drugs use, backstabbing, and with Flores the hope was some real discipline and integrity, and now Tua is getting left in limbo for the possibility of a guy who, to minimise it, won't do well in Miami.

This isn't the Miami I was hoping we would be. Treat people well. Honour your word.

My hometown Panthers were 7-0? And they fired their coach?!? That tells me I need to take a look at the local news more often, I didn't know any of that!

Some of you people are already assuming that Watson is guilty as charged while it's far from certain.
The biggest red flag for me is the lawyer for the accusers. Tony Buzbee. He must be a super Texan fan because at one time he paid for 8 billboards around the Houston area advocating for the team to acquire Johnny Manzeil to play for the team. That didn't work but, gives some insight into how off the wall this guy is.
So, just after Watson announces he wants to be traded, Buzbee digs up the first of several massage therapists. This particular therapist is the one with the accusation of forced oral sex, a felony yet, she didn't go to the police or file charges until she had been contacted by Buzbee and presumably advised that there could be a payday for her. All along, Buzbee claimed it "wasn't about the money" yet, presented Watson's lawyer with a 6 figure amount to settle. When Watson refused Buzbee started soliciting other therapists to also join his shakedown.
It should be noted that Watson's lawyer also has a list of 18 massage therapists that interacted with Watson and report only courteous, respectful conduct.

That makes me think he is guilty. That is what, 49 massage therapists? That is weird. Also Ted Bundy had friends.

Bill cosby was America’s dad lol. Anyone can be a sexual predator in their private life. Fans aren’t the court of law we can judge someone however we want. Lets say he is some how innocent. Unlikely because when have you ever seen this many women claiming the same thing against an athlete. The fact its highly possible he is guilty means we shouldnt even be discussing trading for him atm.

The fact that you need to come up with full on tin foil hat conspiracies is how you know it looks bad for Watson.

Him wanting Manzel has absolutely nothing to do with credibility with a lawyer.

I'll start by saying I was all for Watson at the beginning of the offseason and was willing to go up to 3 firsts and a player, or 2 firsts and 2 players to do it.

Then the sex stuff came out, then we blew our draft positioning taking a slot receiver at 6th, then Tua looked good in camp, then the season started and we learned we either don't have a coaching staff or a team worth paying all that capital for while dealing with the bad fallout and press.

This whole thing has been a ludicrously badly handled mess and - among other things - should be costing Grier and Flores a job.

Yes of course this whole Dolphins franchise mess was handled poorly. We've missed on like 3 or 4 current elite franchise QBs in just the last decade either that we could have drafted or chosen to trade for. Just that one position alone tells you it all how much of a failure management is. An upgrade at QB to me would signify the tiniest glimmer of light to me (in lieu of the precious picks we'd have to give up) but we don't have a guy who knows how to draft, and if we fired Grier, who is to say his replacement wont be as bad? All the guys who ran this team before Grier were as bad or nearly as...

I don't want to hear a bunch of moaning when Watson goes on to play good/great football where ever he ends up, and Tua's bust becomes more apparent. The torch and pitchfork keyboards vigilantism for his legal issues is little more than an excuse to make a poor decision imo. At the very least it's bad moral/civil judgment.

But I digress, like the last guy said I'm over this (practically ancient now) rumor/topic. I'll wait and see, but it's looking more and more like we'll be holstering our guns every day, but then suddenly a new inside scoop breaks, over it, and it will be over soon. I am also done talking about it unless there is pen to paper. Pip Pip Cheerio!

I'd rather build around the creepy pervert than limp-noodle. Maybe then we won't mega-reach for slot receivers because we have to cater to that limp-noodle.
