Lawyer suing watson just nuked anyone thinking watson didn’t want nda’s. Apparently dolphins wanted to lower the number from 22 for pr reasons.

He is single-handedly making anyone, from front office personnel to coaches to players, think long and hard about working for this organization, and probably rejecting the opportunity to do so.

    So here's a question:

Is Ross all-in on Grier and Flores still? Are they almost assuredly returning regardless of how the season plays out? It's painfully obvious that we really did try to land Watson, and that Grier likely was helming those efforts and that it was approved by Flores (who just seems to hate Tua). Do you let these two goofballs make a move like that if you are up in the air about bringing them back?

Right? Like, you don't do that unless you REALLY want the dude and think you are either not being found out or that it doesn't matter because you're a genius football executive who isn't on the short leash we all think he is on.

...at least 22 times! That's the part I just can't seem to get over. Once is a mistake. Twenty-two is a lifestyle.

Well yeah; I get that. I just mean like before any of that nonsense was known by anyone I'd have been all in on Watson as our QB. Why wouldn't you be with what he'd shown on the field? Unfortunately he's been up to no good and now that it's public knowledge that's why my opinion has changed on him. If none of that was going on; then hell yes I'd want the guy on my team however that's just not the case.

Talent/skill isn’t everything. A team can have standards and still be a winning organization.

Greg Cote calls for Stephen Ross to sell the team in the Miami Herald. Amen.

Wow, maybe it becomes a thing and it trends! There's serious narrative there with the right angle.

Chris Grier is playing the same rhetorical games that Flores played with his "Tua is our QB" proclamations. Grier knows that if Ross and/or he encouraged Watson to settle, it was likely going to come with NDAs. So, even if they didn't advise him to get the NDAs, it was likely implied. Now, he's indignant about folks suggesting it was arguably unethical.

Years ago, he used to irritate me. I sent him an email advising him that filling his reports with opinions was poor form. That's why Omar and Mando irritate me with a lot of their reporting. Cote took time to reply and advised me that he was a columnist, not a reporter and that he was paid for his opinions, not his objectivity. I respected the reply and I've been a fan ever since.

    I got mixed feelings.

On one hand, I don't think this trade was ever close to happening, so I believe Grier.

On the other hand, he probably should have said something a lot earlier.

Not sure what your issue is here. That's obvious. I thought I was quite clear in stating prior to the knowledge of these incidents I would have loved him on this team. Now that we know about it I'm saying I don't. So we're on the same page here I'm not sure what your issue is. Prior to knowing he was a sexual predator you wouldn't have wanted him on the team? I mean, we only know what we knew at the time. Knowing what we know now I don't want him here. It's really that simple I'm not sure what you're trying to debate here.

Ross will bring them back BECAUSE they are agreeable to bringing in Watson, which is what Ross wants to hear.

Missing three or so years of first and second rounders will really hurt when it comes to attracting a quality GM and coach, so Ross will probably just stick with Grier and Flores until there is an open fan rebellion. It's a nightmare scenario unfolding before us.

I have a much different opinion. If you even have to ask if the women would feel safe- why the heck would you think it's okay to bring that person in the building!?! You're obviously worried about something to ask that kind of question...

No. What I mean is Grier should have said that they had no interest in trading for Watson to begin with.
