It's so depressing to see how this defence played against Atlanta, J-Ville and Oakland. They've dug themselves such a hole, they're forced to ball-out the rest of the season. I really think it all comes down to X and Jones being healthy- the entire defense runs through them being able to shut-down the perimeter receivers. They were both fairly good early this year but not at their normal elite levels. Once they both healed up, we were able to start dialing up the pressure and forcing the bad throws. The pass rush has definitely improved as well in recent weeks, but I'm not sure how much is scheme vs player growth. It's just great to see in general since we were expecting this level of dominance three months ago. Oh, and to answer your question, I think we'll make "Danny Dimes" look like an old nickel and a couple of counterfeit pennies.

No he does not. Their receivers are all banged up and questionable. Saquon is permanently banged up. And our D is just too good right now! Miami over last 5 games; Points allowed/game = 14.4 NYG over last 5 game; Points allowed/game = 15.2 (And they played Tampa, Chiefs, Raiders and Eagles in that stretch) We may not be able to score either. IMO, the gameplan against Carolina was really good. For the most part, the play calling was pretty good as well. IMO, the Giants game will be a good test to see if they have turned a corner into being competent.
I think Raekwon Davis being out hurt us, especially in defending the run. To Keys points, also had X and Jones banged up. Plus 2 rookie starters which one of them is playing a different position than college.
Yeah, he has a shot. We have to be careful blitzing the G-Men because if he slides outside and breaks contain, he's capable of running 60 yards. Those are the guys who worry me. And yeah, I know the king of those QBs is Lamar Jackson, but a competent coordinator can figure out how to make adjustments to use our aggression against us. Remember: Any given Sunday, any team can beat any another.

You'd have to pay big money for another corner like that, and then they'd mostly be riding the bench. I think Noah was supposed to be that guy. I think they might go back to the well come draft time.
I’m starting to think that outside of LT/C, CB should priority #2 in this draft so we can replace Jones and free up his big contract at some point. He’s underperformed it since the day he signed on the dotted line and is the weak link in our secondary.
