Huh, what did he fracture? I had no idea it was serious. Good to have Parker for the week though...always nice to have a WR1 for the games we should be able to win without him, LOL.
Giants secondary is playing really well. Parker's presence, for however many snaps he lasts, will take some of the heat off Waddle.
Odds have really changed just in the last day or so after news came out that Jones might not play. Total points scored opened at 43.5 and is now down to 40.5, and Dolphins are now -4.5 favorites after opening as -2.5 favorites. If the Giants go with a backup QB this is almost a slam dunk 6-7 coming up, and even with Jones 6-7 is likely. Love it!!
Quarterback Daniel Jones was a limited participant in Giants practice on Wednesday and he’s on track for at least that level of participation again on Thursday. Reporters at the open portion on Giants practice have passed along reports and videos on Jones doing drills with the rest of the team. Jones is dealing with a neck injury and reports early in the week indicated that the Giants were planning to start Mike Glennon, but the GIants haven’t ruled anyone out and Jones appears to be very much in play to start against the Dolphins on Sunday. It doesn’t look like he’ll be throwing the ball to rookie wide receiver Kadarius Toney if he does make the start. Toney sat out Week 12 with a quad injury and is now listed with an oblique injury as well. He’s out of practice for the second straight day. Wide receiver Sterling Shepard also sat out last Sunday with a quad injury and was out of practice Wednesday, but reporters noted he did some individual drills on Thursday before going to work with trainers.
My wife wants to go to this game. Haven’t won a game with her in the stands this season lol. I think im leaving her at home.
Really puzzling off-season for Grier. On one hand, he hit several home runs in the draft. On the other, he gutted our 2 best OL and a really bad OL was actually worse this year, relied on an injury ridden WR paired with another injury ridden WR who’ve both been non-existent and got rid of some pass rushers who could have helped get some needed wins early in the season. That’s why it’s hard to evaluate how much of the slow start was Flo, Grier gutting veterans on a young team and/or injuries. You could argue injuries are the biggest factor since Tua has missed several games, Fuller has played in 1-2 games, Dieter has been out for most of the season, Parker has missed multiple games and both Jones/Howard have been banged up and missed games. I’m excited to see what this team looks like after a much needed bye week. If we can take care of business against the NY teams and go 2-1 against Ten, NE and NO, I’m gonna be very optimistic heading into next year.
I agree and I don't think we can pass judgement on non-players until the end of the season. It was a train-wreck early and the two main causes were injury and inexperience. But again, we played the Raiders tough into OT, we had the Colts/Jags/Falcons and choked at the end. If we'd won 2-3 of those four close games, would we be upset at all right now? Part of me blames the coaching for early on, then another part of me praises the coaching for making everything click and showing that growth. So I really need to see 5 more games.
I enjoy watching who the talking heads pick each week- not because I think they'll be right (they all picked the Panthers last week), but because I enjoy thinking how much they stink at their jobs. Anyway, here's what they guessed this week- Laura Rutledge (ESPN)- Dolphins Matt Bowen (ESPN)- Dolphins Emmanuel Acho (ESPN)- Dolphins Pete Prisco (CBS)- Dolphins John Breech (CBS)- Dolphins Ryan Wilson (CBS)- Dolphins Nate Davis (USA TODAY)- Dolphins Lorenzo Reyes (USA TODAY)- Dolphins Bill Bender (Sporting News)- Dolphins Vinnie Iyer (Sporting News)- Dolphins
Giants quarterback Daniel Jones will not play on Sunday against the Dolphins. Coach Joe Judge confirmed today that Jones, who is dealing with a neck injury, has been ruled out. Mike Glennon will get his first start of the season for the Giants. Glennon previously played in Week Five against the Cowboys after Jones exited with an injury and did not play well, completing 16 of 25 passes for 196 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions. The injury represents another setback for Jones, who hasn’t taken the step forward in Year Three that the Giants were hoping to see. Jones is not expected to miss significant time, but seeing him develop was supposed to be a top priority for the 2021 season for the Giants, and that isn’t happening.
Lol feels like a trap game now with Glennon.. this should be a win but if the dolphins goes in that game all cocky on a high horse then it can burn us
They have their backs against the wall and can't really lose another game. Let's hope they have that as motivation.
Wise choice. If he thinks his neck hurts now, he would have really learned what a neck injury felt like if he played.
Dolphins rookie edge rusher Jaelan Phillips is coming off a three-sack game against the Panthers, but he isn’t 100 percent heading into this weekend’s game against the Giants. Phillips has been limited in practice this week because of a hip injury and he drew a questionable designation on Friday. Head coach Brian Flores said that he expects Phillips to be able to play, but he may be limited as he tries to chase down Giants quarterback Mike Glennon. The Dolphins don’t expect running back Phillip Lindsay (ankle) or tight end Adam Shaheen (knee) to play. Both players were listed as doubtful to play on Sunday. Cornerback Trill Williams (hamstring) is also listed as doubtful while safety Brandon Jones (ankle, elbow) joins Phillips in the questionable group.
Yeah. This is like the week 17 loss to BuffaLOL last year. I didn't mope about winning 10 games and missing out on the playoffs because THAT was our playoff game and we laid an egg. If we can't get ready to play a team that - like us - has to win in order to achieve success this season, then we're not ready for the next level. We are the trap game for other teams for the rest of the season.
Well, yet again… The Orlando CBS affiliate has chosen, yet again not to broadcast any of the Florida AFC games. No Jaguars (not that I care) and no Dolphins. How in God’s name can you be a television executive and NOT broadcast any of your state’s teams? I mean really…how many LA Chargers ***FANS*** are there in Florida compared the Dolphins or Jaguars fans? How many Cincinnati Bengals ***FANS*** are there in Florida compared to Dolphins and Jaguars fans? Thank Christ I’ve got the streaming code cracked for this season otherwise I wouldn’t be able to watch any Dolphins games without dropping a C note at a local sports bar. No wonder the major networks are sucking so badly. He’ll, at least Fox has always shown the Buccaneers, no matter how badly they sucked. At least they understood their fan base.
Me too I respect them a hell of a lot more than the Jests and was cheering for them in that infamous superbowl as if they were MIA. But for this day big blue is the enemy lol.
It’s fun to be excited about sundays again. And this is just for a chance to move closer to .500. Can you imagine what it would be like thinking playoffs or super bowl?
Is there a way to stream the radio feed online easily/legally? Or is that protected too like TV broadcasts? I'm gonna be in the car for the next few hours Edit: I'm trying a free trial of TuneIn app.. Unless someone has a better idea
Jeez you gotta make that easy 10 yard pass on the money. At least Sanders made up for all of his shanks this year a little bit tying it up. Honestly I expected to be at least 10 pts ahead by now, if this team was prepared like this was a playoff game, as I'm sure the Giants were too, but even still, I think we have better player personnel to make the run, but our staff has to make the most of them.
