Miller has been on 4 teams’ practice squads and subsequently released since tearing his ACL in 2019; Patriots, Bears, Redskins and Saints. Does he have any juice left in the tank? Difficult to say. He’s not been physically punished having not played since the 2019 preseason but when you’re signed and release by 4 different teams in such a short period of time, it doesn’t bode well for his abilities.
Without question, one of my favorite Dolphins of the past decade. I was crushed when he left as a free agent. He's basically not played since the end of the 2018 season, so I have no idea how much left he has in the tank, but maybe he's well rested? Wouldn't it be fun to watch this again on Sunday?
I guess Doaks is completely unusable at this point… weird considering they keep protecting him from poaching.
I agree! When you have zero running backs, Miller seems like a sure thing. I'd love to see him out there just off the nostalgia though!
He's probably lost his top end speed, which means he is a JAG now. Grabbing some big bruising short yardage back would make sense, but I don't know if any are out there. It would be nice to have the option to run when you only need 2 yds or less though.
I would have to think that there's no one lurking out there who would be an above average RB for the Fins for the rest of this season. Next Spring, the team absolutely MUST fix this, without question. But for now, someone like Miller, along with Linsday and Brown is about all we can hope for.
desperate times call for desperate situations.Time to fold up the tent and focus on next season sadly again.
I was at that Jest game where Miller went Coast to Coast. Endzone seats. Right before handoff I screamed take it to the hole Lamar, and then he did. But you missed my all time favorite Miller highlight Unlucky
Blah just sign a 280lbs fullback and line him up in the I and push the pile for 4-5 when you need it. Stop being silly we are not getting a good RB now and our line won’t fool anyone. Just push the big man for a few here and there!
Worked for Lousaka Polite. He almost never touched the football in any of the five seasons that he played on other clubs, but in three years with Miami, he carried it 86 times and gained 50 first downs. I do miss having a pile mover like that. We were 11th and 8th in first downs gained as a team his first two years on the club. We've mostly sucked since then.
He slots right in at right guard. But then, Bernie from "Weekend At Bernie's" would be an immediate upgrade anywhere on our OL.
