AFC East rival Jets are coming to Miami this Sunday with a 3-10 record. They are coming off a loss at home to the N.O. Saints and Chris Simms’ favourite QB. Jets are losers of 2 in a row.

Miami is winners of 5 in a row and coming off a bye week.

    Current Betting Lines;
    Miami -8.5
    O/U 43

This could turn into a Covid game/week for Miami. Running back room now has all 3 rostered RB’s in Covid protocols. And Jevon Holland has also tested positive. Possibly more positive cases incoming…

    Fuller is still out
    Brandon Jones is still questionable
Dieter was seen in a walking boot last week
    Byron Jones is banged up.
Malcolm Brown is eligible to return from IR

-Jets are expecting Michael Carter to return from injury this week.
    - Jets will be without key wide receivers Corey Davis and Elijah Moore
    - Jets expected to start Zach Wilson at QB after starting Flacco in their loss to the Dolphins 3 weeks ago.

Must win game for our Fins

I'm calling it now- a RB who's not currently on the active roster will rush for 150 and we win this game by 30+. Final score: 37- 6 Miami.

Just take care of business.. like Pat Riley used to say back in 2005-2006… part of being a professional is winning the games youre suppose to win.. we are clearly better than the Jets… just win..

The Jets suck. The spread is not moving. Miami should win this game easily without a running back or Holland.

One reason the spread isn't moving is because the Jets have the worst starting QB in the NFL: Zach Wilson. He has only one game with above average passer rating and all the rest well below. He has the worst TD:INT ratio among (qualified) starters in the NFL with 6 TDs and 11 INTs, and it really looks like Dolphins fans will be able to enjoy his ineptitude (and that of the Jets) for several years before the Jets replace him with hopefully another dud of a pick.

The Jets are masters at picking busts at QB: Sanchez, Geno Smith, Darnold, and it's looking like Wilson may join the list lol.

    Great point.
During the current 5 game win streak… the Jets actually scored the most points against our defense (17). Flacco looked competent in that game and threw for 290 yards with 2 TDs and 0 INTs.

Them starting Wilson actually does us a favour….

Also, while we're at it, the Jets have the worst defense in the NFL (by points allowed per game). They also have the worst pass defense (by passer rating allowed.. and you want to use passer rating not passing yards because efficiency correlates with winning more). Their defense is giving up 30.5 ppg and a 108.2 rating to opposing QBs.

I see Tua's 5th consecutive 100+ rating game coming up.

So you're saying we'll inexplicably choke on this one then?? I have no faith in this team to perform at any consistent level until that Oline gets fixed.

So then I guess we'll be seeing you pick the Jets in the Week 15 pick then?

No, but even the jets have beat the Titans (with Derrick Henry) who I think could give us trouble. I'm just saying I wouldn't be terribly surprised.

We won 10 games last years, and lost 7 straight this year. You'll have to pardon my reluntance to quickly accept new trends in Dolphins football. They've trained their fans to temper expectations over the years :)

The odds are absolutely stacked against us winning the next four, and even though many of the talking heads are starting to say it...it's still an incredibly tough accomplishment. I personally hate that we're coming off the bye with a break in momentum and I think this game will tell us a lot about what this year's team is made of.

I do think we'll beat the Jets and the Saints. But from there, it all comes down to pride. How bad do they really want it?

If we make it through this week, at least those that caught it won't be out in the future. So if you're going to have an outbreak, the week against the Jets is the "best" time to have it. If there is such things as a best time. Just hope everyone ends up healthy and safe.

Agreed, we would be in serious trouble is we faced the Titans or Pats this week and I'd give Miami little chance to win. The Jets could still win this game, but Miami has a big margin for error.

Could the lack of Waddle be so significant that it hamstrings our offence?

If the Bills beat them next weekend, the table is set for Miami to just win out and get into the playoffs WHILE knocking the Pats out. The hardest part of that will be winning out for Miami -but no need to rely on New England for help now.

As I said last week if Indy won and if Buffalo beats the Pats next week, Buffalo is in control of the division and that works in our favor since we've beat the Pats and need to beat them again week 18. Buffalo winning the division was always the easier path for us.

With that said, if Buffalo loses to the Panthers this week AND beats the Pats the week after (coupled with us winning week 18), then it would be a three team sprint for the division!

Buffalo is the more talented team. They will be out for revenge in hopefully not an extreme weather game.

    Dolphins 24-0 tomorrow.

There's no such thing as jinxing. None of us have influence over the game's outcome. I wish we did though. It would not only allow me to jinx the Dolphins to a SB win, we could make lots of money betting on games by "jinxing" things. lol

Then 8-7, then we'll see lol.. but the goal is 14-7, the same score we won the SB by in the NFL's only Perfect Season!
