Tonight’s win is freaking huge and nobody should discredit it. 7 wins in a row??? Screw any person that tries to discredit that.
I dont know how you expect consistency in the deep passing game when 3 of the 5 ol lose their blocks every play
He's not even throwing deep. I think he threw 3 passes over 10 yards. He wasnt running for his life tonight. He could have tried pushing it down the field a little more
So, they get a 57 yard completeion and when they show the replay, two of their OL were holding our guy. I know I'm a ***** to complain about little things, but I guess I'm a ***** who complains about little things. Sue me.
He couldnt really run for his life because their ends were walking our tackles into the backfield routinely. He's been sacked 3 times; I don't have the pressures numbers in front of me, but I know its fairly high. Just stop... seriously. There's been plenty of things to criticize him on in other games but you're holding a player to an impossible standard here it feels like. You're also the only one doing so tonight; so that really should say alot. Again; this is a damn good defense were playing. On the deep issue; that's our offensive scheme. Alot of RPO's and short passes; that's not his fault. That's the offense!
It’s the nfl. You always nitpick. Our dream is for our qb to be one of the best. It doesn’t mean I’m not rooting for Tua. I want Tua to be great.
Personally, I'm wondering why Book didn't make all of the dink and dunk throws Tua makes since **checks notes** apparently, anybody to complete those passes.
7 game losing streak, and a 7 game winning streak this year. First time ever in league history last 7 game win streak... 1985 damn!
Yup. The year we beat the Bears on Monday night and then somehow lost to New England at home in the AFC Championship game. Maybe we'll make it to the AFC Championship this year
Has Herbert won 6 games in a row, or just put up lots of fantasy football stats? I would much rather have a “game manager” that has a record of 7-1 versus a quarterback that puts up numbers after numbers and is losing
Its survival of the fittest this season and we need to definitely be more aware of that kind of contact… god knows we cnt afford to suck more on offense against the titans..
I don't care about Herbert. I'm pissed we didn't draft him but that's water under the bridge. You can think tua is the next joe Montana if you want but how can you not see that he did nothing extraordinary tonight. It was a team effort and win. I'm not saying tua stunk it up tonight but he didn't set the world on fire either
Ground out a win vs a tough saints defense. Our OL is terrible, worse than I thought they were. Even on the big play to Hollins, Davis got trucked by a DB.
Tua makes bigs plays and bad plays. Oline is still a joke and the entire coaching staff on offense is clueless. We play completely scared on offense its sad. That said our defense is clapping cheeks again and its nice to see. We would have easily made the playoffs of the defense didnt take so long to figure it out.
I think Herbert is a better QB. I think we'd be better with him as our QB. It's my opinion. You think otherwise. Who gives a ****. We all don't think alike on everything. You and I agree on the vaccine stuff but not this. In the end. I'm happy we won and am extremity excited about the next two weeks
Don't forget though; this defense we just played shut out Brady and the Bucs last weekend too. It's not like they're garbage. I think the Saints were only missing their MLB on D tonight, forcing their regular Will to play Mike and a backup to play will. Their full starting DL played and got pressure consistently against our mediocre OL; especially in the first half. Their corners, Lattimore and Gardner Johnson aren't jokes either. I get what you're saying when put this way, but outside of Waddle and Gesicki what talent do we really have on offense; especially with no running game? I think everything needs to be kept in perspective here. Next two weeks are going to be tough too. That's two good teams coming up with alot to play for still. We need to open up the playbook more for him. Find ways to call those shots and get guys open downfield, rather than the constant focus on the RPO game. Its a strenght of his so it should still be a staple of the offense, but you can't have that be your whole passing game. He's shown he can push it downfield; now put him in more positions to be successful at it with your playcalls and gameplans. I don't trust our bonehead OC's to do that though. Oh, and lets not forget at WR tonight we had an invisible Parker. Gesicki mosdtly being used to help our crap OL block; and after Waddle was Tommy Lee Lewis, and Hollins got a few looks. We're just not loaded with talent on O
I'm off to enjoy my usual glass of victory scotch. Tonight a Dalwhinnie 15 year. Hope everyone had a good Christmas and Happy New Year upcoming!
