I just saw we don't have a game thread yet. Kickoff is at 4:25 PM EST and we're at home against the Pats in the season finale. The Pats also really need this one for a chance at the division, even though the Bills shouldn't lose to the Jets.
Raiders are expected to fire GM Mike Mayock. Broncos offensive line coach Mike Munchak will be free to join another team after Vic Fangio’s firing. Doubt Munchak will want to work with Brian Flores.
This game will leave an impact on the offseason. A blowout loss once again? You have to question if changing everything is a good idea. A close loss or a win makes you feel better about Grier/Flores getting one more year to succeed. I'll be honest, I don't think Flores can attract good coaches at this point. The well is poisoned.
The worst is being somewhere in that gray area not knowing whether we have the right foundation and should keep building on it or whether it's better to tear down parts of it. So many years in the past we've been in this gray area, just mediocre but hopeful. So in some sense I'm hoping that whatever the outcome today there's some clarity on Tua and Flores. Man.. last game of the season.. another playoffs without the Dolphins.
Would be nice if we dominated them today. I‘m tired of blowing things up some consistency all around would be nice…
Personally, I don't get why people are so down for today's game. We've still won 7 of 8, with the only loss coming to a true AFC contender. That's a great run for any team, at any point of the season. And I know, it sucks we're not playing for the playoffs today, but darn...cut this team a touch of slack. Nobody thought we'd be 8-8 right now.
Vegas expected us to win 9 this year: https://www.sportsoddshistory.com/nfl-win/?y=2021&sa=nfl&t=win&o=t
The entire season counts. As impressive as the win streak was that's how bad the losing streak was. Overall people expected us to be a possible playoff contender (Vegas had us at +120 so close to 50/50). This is year 3 of Flores. Not making the playoffs is not something you just ignore. Flores and Tua need to end the season with a great win here or there are some serious questions to be asked.
Love the throwbacks, love the first drive. Now, if Tua and the offense would not disappear until the second half....
Perhaps. You would think he'd have that experience in Alabama, but Tennessee is a different beast climate-wise, I suppose.
Hard to have a better start to the game. No matter the circumstances, it's good to see the Pats losing.
Roberts better shut up. About to get flagged for taunting NE sideline. No room for that when you already got eliminated for choking
If the Niners lose today and we win we'll have the same record. So what does that mean as far as draft position?
That tua throw was really bad or it looked really bad because that was obvious PI on parker. Regardless him and parker always seem off.
The Miami pick should be higher due to strength of schedule, but I'm not certain how close those numbers are. I could see Miami picking one spot back of their own first rounder, so it's really a wash as far as draft position.
This was the offense we needed to see last week. Still bitter about just missing out on the playoffs yet again.
