Agreed, anyone that watched our games know that, that was our best option under the circumstances we were dealing with. This misconception of the quarterback throwing 60 years bombs every other pass attempt is ridiculous. Tua can hit a receiver downfield....if he's open.

I’d toss my hat into asking Josh McDaniels to visit. He’s been the offensive coordinator for 12 years Under bellicheat.

Née England wanted him back so much when he took the Colts offer years ago they.

He has been a huge reason they continue to win regardless of talent on that team.

He's probably going to wait until Bellicheat retires and then take over...

The only thing I have against Saban is that if Flores rubbed Grier and Owner the wrong way, I'm sure Saban would do the same. It looks like we have to hire a really nice person as coach :)

ever watch any other teams play? Other teams take deep shots. The only time the Dolphins did was when they were down. Other teams make throws 10 yards or more too, not just 3 to 4 yard passes.

What point are you trying to make with this list? That Tua has the same YPA as big bad *** big armed chuck the ball down the field every play Josh Allen?

Thats true. Hopefully we can get someone with a passive demeanor that never raises his voice. Would be ideal.

So we're interviewing this guy? Don't know if he could be a HC, the press conferences would be funny though and it looks like his character would fit our owners...

I’m going to reply to your first paragraph with this analogy.

You ever see someone driving a PIECE OF CRAP car that they spent a butt load of money on with big 20” rims, springs cut so it’s barely off the street, a stupid looking spoiler, massive speakers that make the car seem like it’s about to rattle apart, loud sick sounding exhaust that makes the car sound like it’s about to sputter out and a gawky paint job that looks like vomit? We’ve all seen “this” car at one point

That the Dolphins and Ross’ approach to the team. Get “a coach” and spend money on CRAP. It’s still a piece of crap car. The only difference is that Flores was actually able to do something with this crap

I don’t know that I’d say regardless of talent. They consistently field one of the leagues best OL’s and defenses. I don’t care who your QB is, you’re gonna win games with those 2 factors. That’s my biggest gripe about Grier, 14 years in we still have a sh*** OL.

But they got really good O-line coaching there (didn't they have the "guru" of O-line coaches?!). I think with our line it's both, talent and coaching. That was my biggest issue with Flo, that he couldn't settle for a good experienced OC, but maybe that's on Grier and Ross too, idk....

Any NFL QB can hit guys downfield if they're open. The worst QB in the NFL is STILL an elite player.

Can Tua throw his guys open? That isn't what I've seen from him.

agree why Ross doesn’t see that is beyond me. Grier has not had but 1 stud offensive lineman and he traded him away! He has had a few good picks especially last year but he’s also had a ton of failures

I don’t believe that Flores couldn’t settle for an experienced OC. I truly believe with how dysfunctional the organization is there was no experienced OC that WANTED to come to Miami.

I’m willing to be, let the truth ever be told, Caldwell didn’t leave Miami for health reasons. I bet he arrived, saw the sh#t show that was the front office and bailed before he was tarnished by Grier and company

According to reports, Flores shut down his coaching staff at one point in the season. Maybe Caldwell saw that Flores was a complete *** and wanted nothing to do with him.

    Just a thought.

Doug Pederson if we miss on Daboll. He can bring Jeff Stoutland with him to coach the offensive line.

Has Tua had time to throw his guys open? That isn't what I've seen. Normally he's running for his life. He does have one of the quickest releases in the game thankfully, otherwise things would have gone from dreadful to worse in terms of the amount of time he had.

Well, Tua wasn't throwing guys open in college because he didn't have to. He's not doing it now in the NFL. Also, throwing guys open doesn't just apply to downfield throws.

All I'm saying, as someone who watched him play at Alabama, and now on the Dolphins, I haven't seen him show that he can throw guys open.

After looking a little bit in to him and seeing how the 9ners destroyed the Cowboys, I‘m intrigued as well, not sure he is HC marerial though. We still have Grier and Ross, so I’m expecting we’re going to make the wrong choice in almost everything untill proven otherwise.

If not Doug Pederson, then Leslie Frazier HC (keep the D performing at a high level) and Mike McDaniel for OC (some new ideas and a realization that the run game is important).

    Thoughts?

Don’t want Joseph or either of the Dallas coordinators.

We looked at McDaniel for OC last year. I don't think he is interested in a lateral move at this point.

Frazier as head coach ... Ken Dorsey would be a logical guy to bring along unless he wants a veteran OC/Playcaller on that side of the ball. I really don't much about his connections outside of buffalo, but he is an old Andy Reid and Tony Dungy guy iirc.

Well if McDaniels goes to the Fins then it would be another Belichick former disciple there heading to a possibly HC job.

Mike McDaniel, San Fran OC and longtime Kyle Shanahan guy, is who we have requested an interview with, not Josh McDaniels of the Patriots.

Yelling to the point that the QB has to completely tune you out is probably not something that is going to work consistently but you have to feel like after a decade he probably realized that and mellowed out some.

I don't think that this would work at the end of the day for a few reasons. First of all, Frazier would likely want to bring in his own staff. If I were a coach, it would be a red flag if a team was hiring me and wouldn't let me hire the people that I want to hire.

I really do not think that this would make a lot of sense for McDaniel. I do not think that these guys would be too fond of interviewing for a job and then taking a lesser job. Based on the amount of interest he is getting, I am gonna go out on a limb and say that sooner or later, he is gonna get a HC job. He currently is in a situation that he knows he can be successful in and if he keeps doing his thing, his chance will come. Now, imagine if he goes to Miami as an OC. He has a new QB, a suspect line, and only two real receiving weapons. If he came here and the Phins offense is similar to what it has been, his star would not shine nearly as bright. Essentially, coming to Miami would be a situation where he has little to gain but a lot to lose.
