    Bengals @ Chiefs
    49ers @ Rams

Both games are on Sunday. I'll post again tomorrow with the results from the past two weeks.

The bengals could easily upset the chiefs... I might change that pick later in the week.

Chiefs - though I'm also rooting for the Bengals
Rams - If KC wins, then the NFC CG is probably my game of the year

Aww, so tough this week. My heart says Bengals/49ers and my brain says Chiefs/Rams. Two near unbeatable teams, and two scrappy underdogs out to shock the world. I think the 49ers pull out the shocker, while my man Burrow gets shocked. I just can't pick against Mahommes again this year.

I'm 7-3 while Lucky is 8-2. If I hit this week, we're tied and I'm taking whatever team he doesn't take in the Super Bowl!

Hmm, I'll play for fun. I think Chiefs/Rams. Would like to see the Bungles win tho.

Not having to watch Brady is the real win here.

    And Rodgers.

The Networks will have to (gasp) talk about the entire teams on the field, and not devote all week and then three hours during the game to just those two QBs!

How bout them Bengals! What a freakin' game! I hate that I was too much of a sissy to pick the Bengals, but I don't think anyone could have predicted that outcome.

Saw this. I guess Ross fired Flo two and a half years too late.

I'm actually happy with that outcome. Being in Central Ohio, the Bungles - sorry, old habits die hard - the Bengals are the third most popular team behind the Browns and Steelers. My nephew is a huge Bengals fan and I'm happy for him. I'm also fully invested in the Joe Burrow Story and hope he has a storied career. He's off to a helluva start. He and Tua are among the most humble and decent young players in the league and I'm rooting for them as examples as much as I am as players.

I grew up 45 miles SW of Pittsburgh, and when I first became a big NFL fan in the late 80s, the Bengals and Browns were both at the top of the NFL. Being my 2nd and 3rd closest teams geographically, they were also the 2nd and 3rd most popular teams in my area by far, and I had close friends who were fans of both teams in high school. I'm glad to see them have success again. I have two cousins that live in Columbus and one in Cincinnati that immediately posted on social media how proud they were, and its good to see them be able to celebrate that. One day, it'll be us.

We always have terrible timing firing and hiring coaches. McVay, Shanahan and McDermott were all three hired in 2017.

Mcdermott was on the hot seat until Allen decided he was going to be elite. Of course I was never afraid of NE in the marino years until Tom Brady became the QB either.

Kind of makes me worry about firing flores. Dude really was making chicken salad with chicken crap. Imagine what he'd do with a capable QB.

Edit: Course if the next coach comes in and elevates Tua's play... That will shine a light on Flores too. We will at least find out a lot about our QB over the next season.

I just don't think that Flores was ever going to develop a good offense. He won a lot of tight, ugly games against teams that weren't any good in 2020 and 2021. More importantly, the team isn't that more talented three years after he started than when he left.

I see that point, particularly on the offensive side of the ball.

The Falcons had Shanahan, McVey and LeFluer on staff during their Super Bowl year. Some of their fans were mad that Quinn let McVey and LeFluer walk while bringing in somebody who was unfamiliar with Shanahan's WCO to run it (Steve Sarkisian). Should have boosted one up to OC with a hefty raise.

That is an example of the game within a game that can cost a coach his job, like Flo's constant coaching rotations and unwillingness to wait on player development. And by "player development", I'm not talking about Tua. Flo moved on from players with decent, but not stellar play, with remarkable ease. Sometimes, the soup needs to simmer for awhile before it tastes just right.

    Regarding Miami's coaching staff, consider:
