Before Coach Tony is known as Camprano. I'll give it 3 more weeks, before people start calling for his head. What's everyone else's guess?
You fire Sparano, you set yourself back again. Stick with a coach and build up from there or you'll never be good. Ask the Oakland Raiders.
I don't know if you'll hear people calling for his head as much as you'll hear the "Will Parcells be the Head Coach?" talk.
Thats exactly right. we need stability. and we need talented players. not a new coach every year. We still have a long way to go in rebuilding this roster.
I have quickly come to realize that our fans are one of the worst in the league. For goodness sake, like all of you, I expect us to improve (which I still know we have), but please be realistic. We were obviously not going to be contenders this year. It would be seemingly unreasonable to assume such a turn around when we were a 1-15 team. This is going to be a multi-year plan. Just please give it time before everyone explodes into panic. On a side note, Henne looks good.
Sparano is coaching a young team. Let's try and put the knee jerk reactions in check. It's week 2 folks. Let's not push the self destruct button yet.
People already want Sparano fired? He will work out and remember this is a young and rebuilding team. Give Sparano more then two games to judge him.
Funny, I said the same thing last season about CamRam and got bashed for it. My other point last season was this, if you fire Cam and the next coach who comes in goes 1-5 do we fire him? And so on? At some point you have to take your lumps and realize you're in rebuilding mode.
I hate to say Miami fans are the worst in the league. But after today I tend to agree. I'm quite ashamed of some of the fans on this site. Some are already prepared to write this season off, blow the roster up again and bring in a new coach. If we didn't already do that 4 times in the past 5 years perhaps we wouldn't be in the situation we are now. Yes, we're at the bottom of the league. And no, we're not going to the top in one season. I'm not going to say anyone is wrong for being upset that we lost. No fan likes to see their team lose. But the way people are reacting is rediculous.
people are starting to realize the team just isn't talented enough. Sparano isn't going anywhere (save he physically assaults Ginn because of how mediocre he is).
This is new territory for Parcells as well, as he's likely trying to keep an arms distance, communicating his opinion through suggestions to underlings, rather than necessarily imposing his commands directly on each and every facet of the team. Therefore unless he changes that approach, expect growing pains for not only the team, but the coaching staff, and Parcells implementation of it.
go check out the rams forums or Detroit's. just because you are on a dolphins forum and we are pissed we lost doesnt mean that we are the only fans that get upset when we start 0-2.
As I said, I understand people being upset that we're 0-2. I'm upset we're 0-2. But to simply give up on this team the way some of these "fans" are is shameful.
I think the majority of the fans you speak about are the ones who expected us to be anywhere from 8-8 to 16-0
We suck cause our player suck, not cause Sparano sucks. I mean, he MAY suck, but we've lost 2 games cause our personnel is AWUFUL!
i haven't seen anyone call for him to be fired..thread starter didn't he was just saying people are going to...on finheaven there is probably a 20 page thread already asking for his head
Teething pains. They might as well cry themselves to sleep, since nobody's gonna come running, or even listen to any crying coming from this nursery, especially with Parcells rocking the cradle.
Thats the exact reason I didn't want Cam to be fired. Sporano is the 3 HC in 3 years. Every time we get a new coach, we set ourselves back.
As did I. I'm not calling for this regime's head. But I would like a solid explanation as to why Ronnie isn't the feature back. His injury does not count, because that's a stupid reason. I would also like to know why, I was promised, that STs and the D would be improved from last year, when so far its worse. Last year, we were allowing 3rd & longs to be converted, and this year their being converted to TDs.
Thing is, Im not so sure CamRam wouldve gotten the job done, considering none of their draft picks besides Satele is working out. Parcells and Co have a proven record at least.
I'm still not sure about the working out thing. They didn't work for this regime's philosophy, but they hardly means they're sub-par players.
If they open the season at 0-13, get worse as the season progresses, and lose the locker room, then yes people probably will start calling for their heads.
Keep our coach, i havent heard anyone asking for his head. some of you generlize us fans too much, just because you hear it from 1 or 2 ignorant ones does'nt mean we all want it. I am however in favor of starting henne or pennington come bye week. but that is for logical reasons
stop saying that, noone is giving up on our team man, keep your generlizations to yourself, there disrepectful
As I said in another thread, Ginn is an athletic freak, but hes not talented football wise. He can run fast, but he lacks basic WR skills, that same thing thats plagued guys like Dante Hall, Terrance Wilkins, Kordell Stewart, Desmond Howard. Good speed guys, but dont have what it takes to be a quality WR. Theres not many Steve Smiths, and I dont think Ginn is going to succeed as a WR at this level.
I dont think Coach Sparano needs to go anywhere. I think the problem we have is that we dont have any PLAYERS. I'd say about 75% of this roster is trash. Hopefully, after next offseason, we will be closer to 50% or better in players we really want to keep and a lot less trash...and obviously by the third season we'll be at the point where we are really reflecting the kind of team being developed here.
The thing is that Cam was a really bad judge of talent. Look at the Beck and Ginn picks. I'm sure this front office would have gotten us better talent with those picks. this team sucks and we're not happy with the progress but what did Sparano have to work with? Sparano is a rookie head coach and he's making mistakes just like rookie players do. But he's got the best mentor i the business in the Tuna. I think we're going to suck this year but still see a bit of an improvement over last year.
Sparano is not going to be leaving any time soon...he was hand picked by Parcells that gets him a very long leash...I for one am glad since it will allow this thing to grow and gel.
We're two games into Sparano's first ever season as an NFL head coach. Some of you act as if we're two years, hell, even two decades. Relax.
