Not if its what Ross wanted. The only question is whether Ross said what he said about wanting Harbaugh to stay because he meant it or because he already knew Harbaugh wanted no part of Miami.

Then Ross has no idea what he wants anymore. It has been no secret he wanted him before and the timing couldn't be more perfect since there is an opening at the exact same time and nothing?

I think you have to take that interview no matter what, especially if you don't have HC experience.

Offensive players are *******. Our offense is made up of a bunch of soft skinned panty wearing children. Flores should have turned over the entire offensive roster. Coaches have to be demanding. That's a sign of a good coach. Shula was that way as well. He got rid of players faster than anyone if they did not put in the work or meet his demands for excellence.

Disagree on the assessment of the offense. TE and WR groups have talent. i believe you a have a TE1 and TE2 and solid WR1, WR3, and WR4 Gaskin and Duke can be solid RB 2 and 3. Need RB1 and WR2 and oh yeah an entire OL.

I'm good with McDaniel. This offense needs someone cerebral and some creativity.

Anthony Lynn was just named assistant head coach in San Francisco too. I assume he will take the offensive coordinator position too once McDaniel signs on.

Last week, Jerry assured Dallas fans Kellen Moore would be returning. I'm presuming he's offering a big raise and probably extra responsibilities.

Saw it earlier ... I assumed it was a joke. :chuckle:

Man I hope he's not Gase 2.0. I get his history and the differences and I'm honestly excited at the potential to see a functional and exciting offense ... but man, we just don't get good things so who knows.

We do have the Kellen Moore interview tomorrow though, and with all the media rushing to use the term "sham interview" as many times as possible (and yes, I know he's white), I feel that the team will be giving him every chance to prove himself and that nothing has been decided as of now.

It does seem like it. Looked for the earlier tweet but it's not in this thread. I remember somebody explaining that the "quicker passing game" refered to tempo.

One of the benefits of being a Miami Dolphin fan is we can do <Name> 2.0 for any of the coaches we could have hired.

I think if he fails it will be in a new and exciting way, that will probably mostly resemble Cam Cameron since that is the situation this reminds me of. Though Flores is no Saban.

I told somebody on Twitter we were going to hire Guy Zabummyo ("guy is a bum, yo"), a homeless man who once led his prison team to victory in a game against a visiting Arena League squad. The dude tweeted a response calling me a racist(?). With all the talk of sham interviews and racism, there's a lot of touchy people out there right now.

Still don't know what I tweeted that was somehow racist.

I went with Gase as they are closer in age, and both have that "genius" label, though I think McDaniel probably has done more to earn it to this point than Gase did in coaching Manning lol. Cam 2.0 was Philbin. Or was it Cam was Philbin 2.0? It's all blending together. :001_rolleyes:

Should have offered him the job on sight. Moore has done nothing they haven’t even won a division title with Prescott who is a gifted athlete.

Eeh, I don't know. Let's play out the best-case scenario. The defense remains in tact, we bring in a veteran line, we bring in a few receivers and Tua has a solid year. If it all plays out like that, maybe we're a 12-13 win team and in the playoffs.

    I'm not expecting best-case....but it's possible.

Based on the last 20 years, the expectation should be more worst-case than best-case lol. Anyway, one day we'll get lucky. Just hope I'm still alive to see that!

Wanna fix this all in one season? I got the fix.

Hire McDaniel today. At the start of free agency you get Arron Rodger and deviate adams whoever you can since they want out. Trade them Tua and whatever. Or just trade Tua outright

you go in free agency and buy two guards that are proven. You draft some young defensive ends and corner/safety’s

you sign a run stuffing dline man and middle linebacker.

if your Ross you can’t afford a build through draft. You have the most cap space in the NFL use it wisely.

obviously we need to be smart but if we do this we instantly a deep playoff contender IMHO

It's a lot simpler than that. Rodgers alone makes us a perennial playoff team and top 5 in odds to win the SB. That would have been true anytime since Marino retired. And in the early 2000's a QB like Rodgers might have made us the odds on favorite to win the SB each year.

QB QB QB.. most important missing piece for decades.

I’d rather shoot for Wilson rather than Rodgers - he’s younger, and used to having success with crappy protection. Sign a top WR and a couple of OL as well, draft a RB and a pass rusher.
