https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.c...n-and-possibly-tom-brady-as-a-minority-owner/ Well this is interesting.
That story links to another story which, at the end, explains that: "The Brady-to-Miami rumors got started because of a belief in some circles that Ross would be selling to Beal sooner than later. As one source put it, they were simply waiting for the Super Bowl, hosted by Ross in Miami, to come and go before doing the deal. Friday’s comments from Ross change that analysis dramatically. So here’s the takeaway: If Ross were to change his mind and sell to Beal in the near future, perhaps the push for Brady would be more aggressive — and perhaps Brady would be inclined to entertain the interest. As it stands, however, a Ross-owned team becomes less likely to be a player in landing a player like Brady." Which I read to mean that new owner Beal would have offered possible ownership in order to bring Brady to Miami as a QB.
That is interesting- Ross was interfering, so Brady somehow managed to get an even better offer from Ross's eventual successor. It does make sense since other reports have Brady interested in retiring in Miami.
We're not selling to Brady. It's speculation and click bait based on an old story to attract Brady as QB with an offer of ownership.
Honestly, I wouldn't mind. It would piss off patriot fans. I know I would hate it if Dan Marino had anything to do with anyone but the Dolphins, let alone a division rival
Any celebrity minor owner would be someone who has no real power or authority with the team. It would just be publicity.
