Ooph, so much for a trade. What a dumb move, even if he was on the non-football injury list.

Why is it illegal for players to bet on games? As long as it's not a game they are playing in I don't see a problem. Referees that a whole different story.

“The continued success of the NFL depends directly on each of us doing everything necessary to safeguard the integrity of the game and the reputations of all who participate in the league,” NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said in a November 2019 statement.

“At the core of this responsibility is the longstanding principle that betting on NFL games, or on any element of a game, puts at risk the integrity of the game, damages public confidence in the NFL, and is forbidden under all circumstances. If you work in the NFL in any capacity, you may not bet on NFL football.”

Chris Godwin is going to get franchise tagged today if a deal is not reached, his representatives have been made aware of the Buccs intentions to tag him.

Lol… the ravens wouldnt dare throw that kind of money to lamar … hes going to get franchise tagged until he proves he can stay healthy… and that he can play in the pocket… i love watching him play.. i dont trust that style lasting much longer for him as he gets older.. hes already missed a lot of games last season..

WR Josh Reynolds signs a 2 year deal with Detroit. Good 3rd WR, good move for them. They definitely need a #1 though, and have the cap space to target an Allen Robinson type (who will apparently hit FA and not get tagged).

Packers look set to tag Adams, and the Bucks will do the same with Godwin if they don't agree to a full deal. Michael Gallup is close to returning to Dallas after Dallas reworked several contracts.

Slightly more intriguing is that the Panthers are apparently listening to McCaffery deals. He'd be an interesting fit in the McDaniels scheme imo, but with that injury history there is no way I'm doing a first rounder.

A number of those were Covid related though, not injury?

Pat McAfee is saying those numbers aren't accurate. Normally I'd dismiss that, but he does have Rodgers on his show a lot so I'd imagine his source would be Rodgers himself.

As good as Armstead would be…. The old saying ‘The best ability is availability’ comes to mind. I don’t want to back up the brinks truck for him to be honest.

Jansen would be a great add.

Side note; That Mike Williams contract is laughable!
Amari Cooper was due 20M, so the Cowboys cut him. Cooper is better than Williams.
Yet LAC hands Williams a multi year deal worth 20M per?
    Make it make sense.

The biggest issue is that a good chunk of his cheap contract is used up, however it also means he's had time to get used to NFL offenses, speed, verbiage, etc. If you are a team desperate for a starter, would you rather give Jordan Love a shot, or someone like Kenny Pickett. I'd probably choose Love. So in that regard, you could argue up a second rounder, maybe even a low/future first.

Hell, Josh Rosen snagged a second rounder. :crapstrom:

This tweet explains better than any example why I support players in all disputes with management:

Teams cut and trade players for any reason they desire. Contracts mean nothing. I said this last year when X was holding out and it still is the case. I don't care if the player wants a trade or a contract extension. You get one bite at the apple and you have to approach your situation like the business it is. Lord knows, the teams do.

Seahawks are releasing Bobby Wagner. I'd love to sign him ... and HATE to see him get signed by a divisional foe.

I would like for us to sign Lazard from the packers. Sign RoNald Jones as well and Draft Tyler Badie in like the 5th or 6th round. That’s if we don’t draft Breece Hall, Christian Watson or George Pickens.

He had Rogers throwing to him and he still only managed, 513 yards last year and 451 before that. That translates to about 200 yards with Tua. I'm just not sure he's anything more then the typical mid-tier WR that we always try to plug wr gaps with.

We will see very fast what kind of season the dolphins have in mind.. are theyre in rebuild mode and just hold out for the draft.. or are they going to get our line some help wnd put some weapons.. and go for the division…

As currently built, our roster is the 4th best on the division IMO.

You may be right but what I was trying to get at is to be competitive next season. We don’t have any WR depth nor we have a good RB depth. The reason why I want Lazard as well is Bc we need size in our WR room. Lazard did well when Cobb and MVS went down. We draft Watson and our WR would look decent.

Miami has so much cap space that they're going to have to sign some big free agents, or a bunch of mediocre ones.

Via multiple reports, the Seahawks are releasing veteran linebacker Bobby Wagner. He was the last man standing from the team’s Super Bowl XLVIII championship in 2012. The move creates $16.6 million in cap space, wiping out the final year of his four-year deal. He leaves behind a $3.75 million cap charge for 2022, which the Seahawks would have carried, whether he was on the team or not.

Because the Seahawks are releasing Wagner, he immediately becomes a free agent. He gets a head start on free agency; he can sign with any other team at any time. Wagner is an eight-time Pro Bowler and a five-time All-Pro. At 31, he may have a few solid years left with a new team.

ME - we need a solid LB.

BWags is playing at an all pro level right now. He just had two of his best seasons. He would be an immediate upgrade at the position and for our Defense. Good man. Good leader of men. Make it so please
