I am going to make two predictions. I call it the Tony Dungy to John Gruden prediction and the Nick Saban to Cam Cameron prediction. Basically going from a heavy defensive coach to a heavy offensive coach can go either way. This year is going to be super weird because I am very excited for this upcoming year, however, it does feel a lot like Saban to Cameron. Though McDaniel is a lot more charasmatic than Cam Cameron. So IMO, the season will either be 14-3 or 5-12.
Yea, that is my feeling McDaniel is the perfect coach to be an up and coming star to take Miami to the next step next year. To the point where they can beat the bad teams (where they already are) and split the good teams. Also, if he doesn't set up the offense AND the defense really does fall apart due to Flores leaving, it could be devastating.
11-6 Bridgewater wins QB job in TC/preseason. He wasn't given 6.5 mil base and 3.5 mil in incentives to wait for Tua to get injured. This is who McDaniel wants(imo.) He is a better overall QB (imo.) It will put the nail in the coffin of TuAnon. Aiming high with my predictions cause why not Tua will well have to prove he is "the guy" when competing with Teddy. Because the only people high on him are... well Tua fans. It should be an interesting slugfest. I am sure Teddy is thinking "I didn't sign with Miami to play second fiddle to 'this guy' " and I'm sure Tua knows it. So either way I'll be happy, may the best average QB win ?!
11-6. I'm going - Home Buffalo Bills - W New England - W New York Jets - W Cleveland Browns - W Pittsburgh Steelers - W Green Bay Packers - W Minnesota Vikings - L Houston Texans - W Away Buffalo Bills - L New England Patriots - L New York Jets - W Baltimore Ravens - L Cincinnati Bengals - L Chicago Bears - W Detroit Lions - W Los Angeles Chargers - L San Francisco 49ers - W
That would be absolutely insane- an offensive genius is brought in to build an offense around Tua, then he replaces Tua without even playing a pre-season game. In that conspiracy theory scenario though, I'd name Brady our day 1 starter. Note- there's NO WAY I expect that to happen, even though that's what Ross desperately wants.
I think this is the least likely to happen of all the predictions so far. Bridgewater isn't new to this game. He's made a career of being either a backup or a bridging QB (ala R FItzpatrick). 6.5 million is reasonable salary for backup QB. Plus, Bridgewater just isn't that good.
preeseason SOS rarely means anything, but SI has us with 21st hardest SOS. NFC north helps us a bit. https://www.si.com/extra-mustard/20...schedule-based-on-2021-regular-season-records
Hey lets be clear, I said either in TC or Preseason (meaning decided by the end of preseason.) Yes it will be a live competition, and Teddy can do everything Tua can do (probably more.) If I'm wrong I will eat that crow, but if i'm going to "call it." I would say, expect the unexpected with the Lolphins, but I don't think it's as "wild" of a scenario as some of you think. You think it's "wild" to Teddy? Look at some of his interviews. He doesn't seem like a QB who is content with being a backup to Tua Tagovailoa. He's a QB who still wants to prove himself (like Tua.) To me this is great, because competition will make the weaker one melt under the pressure. Lets just hope they both don't melt.
11-6. Need to see Buffalo take a step back before I can pick Miami to finish ahead of them. Making the playoffs, I see 1 win in the playoffs.
Me too at 13-4. Make the playoffs Might get to the Superbowl No predictions past that point because my head will be spinning - LOL
Just pulling a number out my backside and I keep coming with 10-7 or 11-6. I'm being optimistic and going 11-6. This team is better than given credit for.
Almost a positive post. Eliminate the spoilers and enjoy the full thrill of victory. We have to many "Lemmings" and this year will be a lot different.
That was freakin' hysterical- damn Jets can't do anything right! I think the reviewer was smoking some of that good herb though to consider that 'unbiased', LOL.
Healthy: I’ll say 11-6, with a playoff win then a narrow loss. If there are a slew of injuries (or key ones like Holland, X, Tyreek, TA) then 9-8 and missing out on playoffs by one or two spots.
What a difference a few months makes. April there are fans calling for Teddy over Tua, by September we had fans calling for Teddy to be cut/traded for Sklyar
Other than my funny ha-ha YouTube video, I’ve kinda avoided making any predictions too soon. I really wanted to see the first teams on the field and see how they performed, albeit short played, before making any predictions. So with that being said, this is the official TDK 2022 Miami Dolphins season prediction. New England v Miami—-Miami Miami v Baltimore—-Miami Buffalo v Miami—-Miami Miami v Cincinnati—-Cincinnati Miami v NYJ—-Miami Minnesota v Miami—-Miami Pittsburgh v Miami—-Miami Miami v Detroit—-Miami Miami v Chicago—-Miami Cleveland v Miami—-Miami Houston v Miami—-Miami Miami v SF—-SF Miami v LAC—-Miami Miami v Buffalo—-Buffalo Green Bay v Miami—-Miami Miami v New England—-Miami NYJ v Miami—-Miami That’s right folks, we’re going to sweep the Patriots and the Jets…we’re going to split one with Buffalo, we’re going to beat Green Bay on Christmas Day, and the Dolphins are going to show why Tua was a better pick than Herbert. Miami is going to finish the season 14-3…that’s right you heard it right…we’re going 14-3 and actually win the AFC East
Kyle Crabbs outline his predictions, he guesses an 11 win season to see the Dolphins in as a wildcard team.
11 wins is possible, but things are going to have to break just right for that to happen. Like no key injuries.
So... I was wrong. I'm happy to be wrong though. At the very least Miami's offense is fun to watch, have no idea how this projects into the playoffs, never seen a team that has an great chance of beating anyone in the league and yet losing to anyone seems almost as likely.
I was wrong about this. He did get hurt, miss at least one game but Bridgewater was worse than I thought.
I also thought if Bridgewater had to play he’d do well. I don’t think he’s a good fit for this offense.
Maybe resigned to the fact that he can’t pick up this offense and knows he’s a true #2 now? (I think Skyler is better at this point)
I just hope your predication of the defence being middle of the pack still comes to fruition. If it does we might win it all with this offence.
