Well at least that will take the microscope off Ross.

Don’t see how. This is merely nothing more than another shakedown on corporate America by the government…

Follow the money and it’s ultimate destination.

Don’t know why the government is involved, since the revenues in question are supposed to be disbursed to visiting teams, not paid in taxes. Seems like this should be an NFL investigation.

The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by an endless series of hobgoblins, most of them imaginary.’

Having read the articles on which the headlines came from, there are a whole lot of nothing burgers. So if the story isn’t based on actionable facts and hard evidence then it’s a

This isn't a scandal as much as it is a crime. For lack of a better word, it's embezzlement.

On a related note, I caught somewhere that Miami has sold more season ticket than any NFL team for this coming season and that they're expected every home game to be a true sell-out. I found that pretty interesting as well.

That is interesting, hoping that means it will squeeze out the other teams fans.

Wouldn’t make any sense. NFL doing investigation on their own people isn’t really an investigation.

Well I would make the argument it reduces the amount in taxes that can be collected from other teams since their revenue is lower as a result of them not receiving the required 40% in ticket sales.

That would be my supposition why the government is involved.

Ok, I’ll buy that for a dollar. Still, I’d think aggrieved parties would be spurring any investigation, especially the NFC East teams they play at home every season and who would stand to lose the most $$$.

Regardless, Washington is a hot mess. Snyder is definitely worse than Ross.

Technically he is stealing from them. Generally, people go to the government when someone steals from them. The article even says that they owners got the government involved for this one.

I'm kind of surprised it hasn't happened yet. I guess they need some more sponsors to back out. That's what the NFL cares about most.
