Can you imagine if the Dolphins welcomed teams to Hard Rock Stadium like this...

Tua freaking out about Dan Marino being there was very much the reaction of any of us throwing a party and Dan Marino showing up at it.

Tua seems like a great dude i would party with him and i see why they took him. I understand the skepticism but just one more year and we will find out if he's worth keeping or not. I think i can hang in there after all this time..

Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa says the support he’s getting this offseason from head coach Mike McDaniel and the rest of the coaching staff is unlike what he has experienced before. Tagovailoa hosted a Luau to raise money for Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Miami, and he praised McDaniel, offensive coordinator Frank Smith and quarterbacks coach Darrell Bevell for all showing up to something they knew was important to him personally. Tagovailoa added that he hadn’t witnessed such support before.

“To be able to have our OC, my quarterbacks coach, our head coach here in support of this, I’ve never witnessed that,” Tagovailoa told CBS Miami.

In the two years since Tagovailoa was drafted, there have been questions about whether the team was really behind him. He spent much of his rookie season on the bench behind Ryan Fitzpatrick, and much of his second season hearing reports that the Dolphins wanted to trade for Deshaun Watson.

Seems a little odd. Do you have the original link?

It sounds like they're taking Tua's comments about support for his event and making it sound like he was talking about support as a QB. Maybe he was saying that, but some context would help.

You don't think they go hand-in-hand? I think Tua seeing his coaches there improves the working relationship. If his coaches appear to care about tua the person, tua the quarterback is more likely to give greatest possible effort.

Part of that is just feeling supported. We've all been in jobs with lousy bosses where we were walking on eggshells on when we'd be fired. With a good boss that supports you, you're confident in your work and perform at a higher level. I think that's mainly what the comment meant- it's great to be supported and know your boss has your back.

    1) I really like Tua straight up so I REALLY hope they can turn the corner with him so they don't have to turn the page.

    2) Mike McDaniel is the most unconventional, interesting and funny coach I've ever seen. Very smart, very likeable.
Again, I REALLY hope he can coach.

If McDaniel can coach then he's going to get sooooo much media coverage with his personality. It would be nice to be in the nation media spotlight for something nice with this team for once.
