I think that this is the danger in giving a declining player his last contract. There comes a time where an agent probably gives his client the talk that this is the last time you will ever get a chance to make money like this again. If your heart is not in it, just lie. One thing that I think Grier has done that has helped a ton is giving players a second contract where they can really still get one more big deal afterwards. We are starting to see second contracts with three year deals. This will keep guys motivated. Look at Ogbah. That man balled out and will make more money in this contract than all of his previous years in the league.
