I'm happy to say I'm the proud new owner of two Dolphins t-shirts. My lovely wife ordered them from somewhere for my birthday. She knows I prefer the older logos to the new one and so that now makes three new Dolphins tops over the last year or so from my wife! That's a trend I'm happy to encourage! I've still never owned a jersey, partly because of cost but but because I wouldn’t wear it much, I'm not a fan of baggy fits. Instead, I prefer regular clothing types like t-shirt, hoodies etc. So that's a long-sleeved tee, short-sleeved tee, and a hoodie so far. It wouldn't normally be me but should I drop hints for a pair of these?
Just say No to the Zubaz pants. They were ugly as sin in the 90s, and they haven't improved with age. Hahaha
Rock those Zubez pants GB! Don’t let anything or anyone stand in the way of YOU! And yes. I had a pair of those in the 80s. And I made it look good!
Love the tee’s Galant but the ONLY criticism of them is the grey. I just don’t get the grey nor why textiles are making them grey. Aqua, coral or white! Other than that, love the prints and like you, LOVE the old logo. Never owned Zubaz either but at 57, I think I would look more ridiculous in them now than I would have 20-30 years ago lol
When Zubaz was new, and I was about 12 or 13 years old, I tried to convince my mom to get me a pair. I remember seeing John Offerdahl wearing it on the sidelines when he was injured, and thought it looked cool and futuristic. She talked me out of it, thankfully. It was the right choice.
What is all this heresy? If Zubaz were good enough for Dan the Man, surely they're good enough for all of us?
I've never minded it, although I like grey as a colour. As long as they get the Dolphins colour on the item, I don't mind additional colours/backgrounds.
The Road Warriors AND Dan the Man in Zubaz? Might have to borrow Stewie’s time machine and get a pair, lol You know, AFTER I kill Hitler…
Its really unfortunate that most of the Dolphins gear, and sports clothing in general, has fallen so far down in quality from what it used to be. It basically peaked around 2005-2010, and since then its been getting cheaper and cheaper in quality while getting more and more expensive in cost. I just can't bring myself to buy any of it right now. I have several shirts that I bought during the Saban-Sparano eras that still hold up really well, and most of what I see new these days is just crap by comparrison.
Couldn't agree more on jerseys. I used to wear them when I was younger, but right around the time I turned 30, I realized I looked like a ****ing idiot wearing a sports jersey with another man's name on it.
