I feel bad for Fields, I think there's potentially a player there but the lack of talent surrounding him will likely kill any chances of anybody seeing that potential realised.
Oh man, I absolutely hate that for Mighty Mouse. I also forgot that we sent him to Cleveland, so now I feel twice as bad for him.
Some early reports that Hainsley was suffering from cramps. On a lighter note, did anyone see the video of Lions rookie Aiden Hutchinson getting the whole team to sing “Billie Jean”? Not sure how to post a video from Twitter, so I’ll need help from tech support, lol
I've heard from a few friends that the Lions Hard Knocks is pretty epic. Recorded it last night but probably won't have a chance to watch it until next week.
Like RT17, I think that if/when his situation improves, he'll be able to shine. Surroundings are so important for young QBs.
Zach Wilson went down injured in the first quarter of the Jets game, looked fairly bad for him too. I wonder if they'll join the Jimmy G sweepstakes if he was out for the season.
You would think so, but coach Saleh called Joe Flacco a “phenomenal football player”, so…. At this point, with the weapons they have, I’d rather face Wilson than JG. I’m confident in our defense either way, but Wilson is not ready for prime time yet.
It is indeed absurd that the NFL, one of the biggest sports leagues in the world, where every team hosts only about ten games a year, can have this sort of thing happen. If other events cause these problems, then they must happen in the NFL offseason.
Indeed. If this was caused by other events it's not reasonable. I've seen it before and it just doesn't make sense. I get they want to make money, but preserve your primary investment, surely?
Tom Brady's unplanned leave of absence has people wondering. Some are thinking the answer lies somewhere here:
