Baltimore didn't look impressive against the lowly Jets. Again, the only time they did play good was when they had a big lead. That allows Jackson to play more loose. Have to get the lead, and get the lead early.
Tough one to call this early in the season. I think the Fins can win it, but it's tough to make any realistic prediction after only one game.
I’m really not scared of the Ravens at all. Last year’s defensive effort against the Ravens, in my opinion is exactly how you shut down their offense. Jackson had no where to go with the ball and was running for his life! Miami has to maintain long extended drives. If we average only 4 yards per play and run the clock down…keeping our defense fresh to be able to get at Jackson and force 3 and outs all day long, I’m going to be a happy camper. Miami wins 27-16
You MAY have a point. If memory serves me right…and I am getting old…the Dolphins D didn’t really start the cover zero until they went on their 7 games winning streak midway through the season. Maybe it was too soon to start earlier? Maybe they weren’t ready for it but seeing how the entire defense from last year has returned, I say dial it up and bring the heat. As it’s being reported that “Tua is the Belichick killer”, being 4-0 against the Pats, the defense needs to be the Jackson Killer and show the Ravens and the rest of the league, you better not sleep on the Dolphins otherwise you’re goi g to get your dick knocked in the dirt
This is Biggest storyline of the week to follow. All 3 of the active tackles from week 1 are questionable for Baltimore. I mean if we have to elevate Kion Smith and Coleman and start them both at tackle (or a combo of one of them and kick Eichenberg outside) we are in deep trouble before the ball is even kicked off.
Oh my goodness, the best TD ever that didn't count was the Baltimore game? There's no way possible we don't win this one- that was the best play in the history of the NFL.
Excepting the Miracle in Miami, which is the best play ever because it won the game for us against NE.
For me the best play in the history of the NFL is the helmet catch. That was not only one of the most unbelievable plays ever, so you don't need to be a Dolphins fan to put that top 3, it was super important from a historical perspective because if NE wins that they become universally acclaimed as the greatest team ever in NFL history with a 19-0 record. That didn't happen, and they're way down the list with an 18-1. So both from a Dolphins perspective and a non-Dolphins perspective I think the helmet catch is the greatest play ever.
Three new players were added to the injury list as limited participants – cornerback Xavien Howard (veteran rest), safety Brandon Jones (hip) and defensive tackle Christian Wilkins (back). They joined tight end Tanner Conner (knee), safety Eric Rowe (pectoral), wide receiver Cedrick Wilson Jr. (ankle), running back Salvon Ahmed (heel) and offensive tackle Terron Armstead (toe) as partial participants. Wilson, Ahmed and Armstead were upgraded from their Wednesday status. Tight end Cethan Carter (concussion) and offensive tackle Austin Jackson (ankle) didn’t participate. Offensive tackle Greg Little (ankle) participated fully, and linebacker Melvin Ingram (veteran rest) was removed from the list completely.
Dolphins at Ravens The Dolphins ruled TE Cethan Carter (concussion) out. RB Salvon Ahmed (heel), T Terron Armstead (toe), TE Hunter Long (ankle), DT Christian Wilkins (back), and WR Cedrick Wilson (toe) are listed as questionable. The Ravens had an unwelcome change to their injury report on Friday when CB Marlon Humphrey (groin) missed practice. He is listed as questionable along with RB J.K. Dobbins (knee) and CB Marcus Peters (knee). Both those players are looking to make their regular season debuts this weekend. DT Travis Jones (knee), FB Patrick Ricard (calf), and CB Brandon Stephens (quad) are also in that group. T Ronnie Stanley (ankle) and WR James Proche (groin) drew doubtful tags.
It feels like everyone is waiting for the other shoe to drop after we get our butts kicked in this game.
I knew that was gonna happen the second he started running. Now let's make that the only points they score today! LET'S GO PHINS!
And there's the Tua poor decision and INT off a deflection trying to force it to Hill. Not a good decision. Hill slipped though, may have had alot to do with it. Still, 3 purple jerseys there.
