How is that guaranteeing a victory? Nothing big. Porter just saying we should win...Almost every player on every team is going in with this mentality.

 

I hope this doesn't turn out as bad as his last guarantee like last years.

Im pretty sure everyone is going in with the "we are going to win" mentality". If Joey Porter wanted to guarantee a win he would of flat out said it like hes done in the past.

This is a pretty good sign that you should start Matt Cassell in your fantasy leagues...

 

This is Matt Cassel we are talking about. I know he won the last game against the Jets but are we really that afraid of the Patriots. KC could have beat them week 1. It wasn't like he was trash talking anyone that has earned respect. Cassel will get rattled by our front 7. I will predict 2 sacks for Langford.

Kurt Warner, Larry Fitzgerald and Anquan Boldin strike more fear in me than Cassel, Moss and Welker. I may be wrong but I don't believe that Parcells and company let alone these players will allow themselves to make the stupid mistakes they made last week again this week.

 

As I said in the club, Eff it. Put some added pressure on the team. They need it. They looked like ish last week.

 

I just watched the interview and he did not gurantee a victory. At the end of the interview he even said "I don't want to say something that is going to get me in trouble".

But who cares most will say he guranteed it and what does Miami have to lose. Maybe it will pump the team up.

After watching the video again that I posted he didn't really guarantee anything, they asked him about Matt Cassell and he said it will be nice to get that first victory. Which is right it will be nice to get that first victory.

He said they have the same offense, just attack him the best they know how.
It will be good to go out there and get a victory against those guys.

To me that's not really a guarantee. Unless I am missing something.

 

Maybe this will scare the Patriots out of showing up to play on Sunday.

 

I agree with you guys about his mouth and lack of backing it up, I just thought he gave a regular "we are going to do our best" interview this time around. I shouldn't have said anything, but there is a bad title to an article that is posted or a thread that is started that causes bandwagon posts pages long about absolutely nothing on a regular basis. I don't post much because I try to filter through the stuff. Sorry, not trying to call anyone in particular out. It just happens.

 

I was at that game as well,that was only game i saw in person last year.Hey at least you only had to come down from Tampa, i came down from Portland Maine.

I'll be at the Chargers game, hopefully Chris Chambers doesn't pull a Daunte on us.

 

no sense in getting worked up over this. Its just Joeys way to fire himself up for the game. And he thinks he's being a leader at the same by, initiating extra incentive for the team to plays harder. But Joey is just Joey, and any who expects that to change is going to drive themselves crazy.

He said "It would be nice to go out there and get our first victory", not "It will be nice to go out there and get our first victory". IJMO but it seemed Porter was careful how he chose his words and didn't include any trash talking at least in the interview I saw. Porter is known for trash talking but this isn't one of them, and I am not even a Porter supporter.

 

I heard him say ""It would be good to go out there and get our first victory against them guys""

but who cares what he says, they get payed to bring it.This isn't high school football.
