Yeah if anything that shows you're the one that's delusional. Mahomes wouldn't have time to throw? And you claim I'm the one that hasn't watched football.

Maybe Grier should go intern for the Jets scouting dept to learn a few things

No I'm not. I've seen enough QBs do well behind ****ty lines. Remember Watson being of the best QBs in the NFL a few years ago behind one of the worst lines we've ever seen? Yeah. I'm not wrong.

I didn't insult anyone. I spoke generally; not directed to anyone. Nice try. But you still don't recognize terrible OL play and its effect... So; there's that.

Anyways... im not wasting my time with this nonsense or this team anymore today. I'm gonna go enjoy the nice sunshine we got here today. I'm a bit irritated obviously, so I do apologize for that.

There's only one person you were referring to. Let's not act like there was anyone else you were talking to here. Either way, our team playing crap elicits such emotions so no big deal. Not taking it personally.

This would be where cbrad is referencing name calling. It’s pretty obvious this comment was directed at him.

I get we’re all frustrated here, might be time to take a step back.

Is it? I didn't direct it at anyone. Generalized out of frustration for our lack of an OL yet again. That's all.

I already acknowledged I'm just ticked off, and I apologized. I don't agree with you in this instance, and I likely never will. However I do respect your opinion and the details you often bring whether I agree or not. So; yeah I'll admit to being out of line but I really wasn't trying to direct that at you; just speaking generally out of frustration for how bad this OL was today. Either way I do apologize if that's how you took it and I can see how it came across that way.

It was pretty clear you guys were both talking about the same poster(cbrad). I know your posting history. You’re not a troll and you’re a good guy. I get the frustration and feel the same way. Just need to let calmer heads prevail.

Yeah man, I went outside for a puff and im much more relaxed and thinking more "clear" now. I really wasn't meaning it that way though; just lashing out at how pathetic this OL was today and how obvious it was to see. I can see how it could be taken that way, but it wasn't the intent. Either way... it is what it is now. Hopefully cbrad can accept my apology out of my frustration and we can all move on.

I think it's not either or. We need to improve both the oline and the QB. Because even with a good oline, you also need a QB that can take hits without breaking into a thousand pieces and who won't get knocked out from a strong shove.

Grier ****ed up drafting Tua over Herbert, and he also ****ed up drafting scrubs and neglecting the oline.

jaylen waddle, teddy bridewater, Jason sanders , 3 turnovers, terrible penalties, the defense not being able to stop the run when they knew it was coming, no adjusting to help with smith and horrible o line play lost us the game. We can’t win like this. No one can.

4 games in a row the starting QB hasn’t been able to play The Whole game.

I just cannot get into Bridgewater’s game. We may have lost Armstead for the year. Others have been lost for the year or had premature careers because of turf tow…OJ McDuffie
Waddle cost us the game, yes, but that was an aberration, you won’t see that again from him.
Needham will cost us dearly this year because I don’t think Jones is coming back anytime soon.
Coach needs to find a run game and quickly, he’s not forcing it enough for my liking

I just want to know, do we honestly have the players around Tua to protect him from further injury? We just gave up 13 quarterback hits and six sacks against the Vikings. I fear for him next week.

I think Tua will be fine, at least for awhile. Statistically, two of the most consistent statistics when QBs change teams are completion percentage and sack percentage. In other words sack % is more of a QB stat than many here think. Tua's sack % is actually lower than league average (5.5% across 3 years vs. a bit over 6% for the league). So he should be fine in terms of # of sacks.

The big issue with Tua is he's more fragile, so each sack might affect him more. But I predict you'll see a "better" OL not because the OL got better per se, but because you have a better QB behind it.

Interesting thing is that the QBs who take the fewest sacks aren't the most mobile ones. They're pocket passers with very fast releases like Marino and Peyton.

That's very harsh on Waddle. He was trying to make a play and had the ball punched out. On the interception the ball was thrown behind him and I remember at least another 2 terrible throws by Teddy to Waddle that should have been completions but Teddy is not an accurate QB.

The OL and injuries lost us this game. If the OL could even hold a block for 2 seconds it would have been an improvement. Greg Little should never see the field again, he's making me miss Jessie Davis he is that bad.

One of the things that makes Tagovailoa special is his anticipation. He really does see the field quite well…to include that rapidly collapsing offensive line thus, getting the ball out quick on short passes.

If the last 3 weeks have shown us anything, it’s how dismal our offensive line truly is. Bridgewater and Thompson were basically standing like statues in the pocket, waiting for plays to develop thus, getting battered like a punching bag. At least Tua is able to recognize this for the most part and get the ball out while not waiting too long for a down field play to develop…for the most part.

The OL is the most basic foundation of any offense. If the line can’t block, the quarterback is going to get hit. If the line can’t block, the RB is going to get tackled for a loss or little gain.

Even the “great” Mahomes was running for his life yesterday and wasn’t able to make plays…not like he would have had the Chiefs line gave him adequate protection.

Gotta make the line priority number 1

We have spent a lot on the line including draft capital but we keep drafting duds. Hunt is the only decent lineman we have drafted in the last 5 years or more.

At this point we can't trust our scouts or Grier to draft a decent lineman, we need to sign free agents. Both Armstread and Williams have been good this year.

I hope Grier woke up today with his phone in his hand, because if any of yesterday’s injuries are more than (very) short term, they are going to need reinforcements asap, especially in the defensive backfield and on the OL. Maybe they can talk Richard Sherman out of the broadcast booth, lol.

He should have woke up with his head in his hands, but first he would have to pull it out of his arse. You trust him to make any moves to fix this team? He has to go.

Of course he has to go, but I doubt that Ross would make that move during the season, so he’s what we’re stuck with.

The best thing for this franchise would be new ownership who would come in and clean house, other than the HC, as McDaniel hasn’t been here long enough to be part of the problem.

Grier knows how to survive. He's not getting canned this season, the next or who knows when. So all this talk about Grier being a problem is accurate yet almost irrelevant because Ross isn't getting rid of Grier unless possibly Tua totally flops. lol.. maybe that's the one silver lining if Tua completely flops. Oh, and new ownership is a fantasy too.

We're stuck with Ross and Grier for a long time. Doesn't mean we can't succeed though. When healthy this team looked pretty good.

Well on the bright side they can't play much worse but people should probably give Teddy more credit because he played pretty well given that kind of o-line performance

Going to have to hold your breath every single time Tua drops back if Armstead is out

    Not really. Think about it…

Terron Armstead. Very good LT but injury prone. Can’t depend on him week after week.
Conner Williams. Great OL but he’s NOT a center, he’s a guard.

Eichenburgh? Turnstile. Little played horribly at LT after playing pretty decently at RT while Jackson was out.

For an OL, I want a Richmond Webb, a Keith Simms, a Leon Lett…I want big strong corn fed boys that push defensive linemen around like rag dolls.

You build THAT…everything else falls into place
