Sorry. That Buffalo team is 6-1. It's NOT a weak team. Its defense is #1 in the NFL injuries or not. That is a strong defense whether you like it or not. Tua has faced average opposition overall. Some strong, some average and some weak teams.

Defensively the Bills were hollow. Their D-line was missing three starters, both starting corners, both starting safeties and one backup dlinemen. Still Tua only put up 186 yards, 13/18, 1 TD at home. The 3 other teams are bottom 20 in points allowed. That's 4 out of 5.

He put up 13 points against NE who does have a strong defense and wasn't missing the majority of their starters.

Dude.. even with injuries that Bills defense is #1 in points allowed per game. They are giving up 14 points per game so far. They are the best defense in the NFL, and they didn't just have all those injuries for only the Dolphins game.

Right now you're just deliberately ignoring evidence that doesn't fit with your preconceived notions. Tua played well against the best defense in the NFL. He had a 123.8 passer rating and you're trotting out his game stats as subpar lol.

What do you mean? They are missing all those players every game? What are you talking about? They never had all those guys out on defense again this season.

Laughable. The only way your argument would even begin to work is if all those players were injured for only the Dolphins game. That's simply not the case. Just admit it. Tua played well against the best defense in the NFL. That doesn't undercut your small sample size argument. That part's fine. But the rest of this attempt to act like he's only faced weak teams doesn't fit with the data.

btw.. the worst defense in the league against the pass is Detroit, which has given up a 108.5 rating so far. To suggest Tua's 123.8 rating against the Bills was somehow subpar would suggest the Bills defense would have had to have been far worse than the absolute worst defense in the league when we faced them. I mean c'mon.

Bro. Do you think a defense is the same after missing 7 starters? Do you think the defense would play that well? It's like you have no awareness to how rare it is to miss that many starters in a game. They weren't the #1 defense when they played them.

Keep quoting his rating as if it means anything. 186 yards, 13/18, 1 TD is not a good performance. That's mediocre AF.

You went from 8 starters, to 7 starters when in actuality it was 5 starters (not counting Tre'Davious White who started the year on PUP).

    What don't you agree with?

Dude.. you're literally ignoring arguments I'm making. Buffalo has had many injuries in multiple games. Since you're not even interested in researching this issue look at this article:
    https://www.democratandchronicle.co...week-5-is-daunting-wide-receiver/69541708007/
That defense is #1 with tons of injuries. And passer rating is what correlates with win% most among passing stats, not yards, completion percentage of TD's. Your argument has no merit.

The starters who were missing were Ed Oliver, Dane Jackson, Jordan Poyer and Micah Hyde. I assume you're adding Jordan Phillips, who isn't a starter, and Tre'Davious White who didn't even start the year so you can't count him just like you wouldn't count Byron Jones being out all year.

It doesn't matter anyway. Injuries are a part of the game.

You aren't making arguments. You are making a whole lot of noise. Posting random article of Steelers before the game? What? They never had that many defensive starters out again.

Can you post this study? I've seen you say this before.

Forget it dude. You're debating style is dishonest. Bills have been beset with injuries for many games. You don't care. And the passer rating stuff is statistical analysis I did as well as many others did. You don't care either. You're not even doing any research on your own.

Dishonest, seriously. Done with debating you.

I'm having a hard time understanding your logic. You defended Tannehill for literally 7 years, through 2 knee injuries when Tannehill opted for a holistic approach rather than surgery. I never heard anyone discuss his durability as he missed a full season and the last 5 games of the 2016 season for a total of 21 GAMES MISSED.

Tua has missed 2.5 games this season. If you were part of club you'd have heard inside intel that Flores BENCHED Tua and used his rib injury as an excuse to keep him on the bench. The Ravens game last year where he was active but a backup is further evidence of that.

We were all shocked and hurt by his concussion and hopefully he will have learned something from it and how to better protect his body but sh*t happens and Tua dodged a bullet.

You know I'm as critical as they come on QB's and so called above average talent but we finally have a franchise guy so it's time to put the doomsday clock away and just enjoy it. I was ready to move on from Tua after the NE game but happily will admit I was wrong. Dead wrong. Why is to so hard for others to do the same, especially people that gave that scrub Tannehill an endless amount of support? :D

They don’t pay for the site so they couldn’t have access. It’s easy to participate but to actually be a part of something is different. I pay for the site but the format of club. It’s one just HUGH long string. And if you’re not “part” of the crew it’s not really welcoming. But to each his own.

Terrible comparison, Tannehill was very durable early in his career up until his first acl injury. He played many whole seasons without missing a game before that knee injury. Tua has yet to complete a season without missing multiple games.

Tannehill's problem was always inability to handle pressure and perform in the clutch, not his durability.

I've addressed the Tannehill several times. Tannehill went like 4 seasons without missing a game. I did the club thing for a year, my experience was Club was deader than the mains.

Tua might struggle in cold/wet weather, but it's not like every quarterback plays great in it.

    https://vendettasportsmedia.com/does-josh-allen-suck-cold-weather/

So, let's not act like it's such a huge knock on Tua. It's a different game in that type of weather.

Again, not that hard when you have hill and waddle running with miles of separation. It's not like he is having to make great throws, in fact he can afford to make bad throws which he has many times and still complete it.

This is more a case of two great speedster recievers making Tua look good.

At the same time, he only had 18 attempts. You can't put all the blame in Tua, if the coach isn't calling pass plays. 13 completions for 186 is almost 15 yards a pass. Give him 20 completions with those averages and he's got 300 yards and 2 or 3 tds. That ain't bad.

It was a defensive kinda game. That, field position and # of possessions all go into attempts plus the coach calling runs. The focus on total yards while it's a barometer, it's not the deciding factor. As you pointed out, 15 yards a pass is pretty damn high.

Not for nothing that’s why half the posters in this thread are disingenuous hypocrites. Statistically Tua had the worst pass protection (apparently still does) in the NFL and had the worst receivers at gaining separation in the NFL statistically for the first two years of his career and he was not afforded that as an excuse, nor a lack of running game. Nor the **** playcalling nor anything else. Now that he has excellent playcalling and excellent weapons it’s a detriment to him and his obvious growth? THIS IS EMBARRASSING.

You have a franchise qb. Whether you believe it or not? The team does. And the league does too. The team has moved all in on him. He is literally having an MVP caliber season. He is playing his ****ing *** off and you still can’t give him any credit and are actively rooting for him to fail when this team has a legitimate chance to be the first dolphin team to win a ****ing playoff game in two decades and I have to hear about how you guys are the only enlightened true fans because you see through the numbers.

I’m tired of it. Im not the only one. it’s utter bull**** bc you MADE UP YOUR MIND and dont care what your lying eyes are telling you.

it’s intractable nonsense, this entire thread is the same points again and again with NOT ONE PERSON changing their mind. We dont hsve a first round pick this year. Tanking is out. Guess what? With the options and FRANCHISE tag (you know, named for FRANCHISE players) he is your wb 1 for three more seasons minimum and very likely many many more. get on the bus or don’t ****ing bother calling yourself a fan because your intractable position is you actively hope the team thats moved ALL IN on this qb and this VERY SMART young HC has staked his career to him are wrong. Thats what you want, so you can say “i told you so”. Its insane.

Actually there are posters here who are coming around to Tua. Many are admitting he's currently playing at an elite level, well beyond anything they thought he'd do. Consistency (including durability) is the primary remaining issue.

I predict there will be very few voices left dismissing Tua's performance by year's end. Maybe the few remaining will have an oversized influence on the discussion, but minds are changing.

    Yes,
He's supposed to throw for 500 yds , 6 TD's , no int's every game while playing with below average rookie receivers. If he can't do that then its time to move on.
