My worse half...I mean better, is taking med. terminology and Biology classes and says that most of the stuff they say is correct terms, etc. So atleast they arent making all of it up as they go. Its Sci Fi......what, you beleive in aliens, but we cant pull images off of of eyeballs? Its def. one of those shows you either like right away or you dont.

Not so, I am ambivilant towards it right now. And yes, at least with X-Files they put themselves WAY out on a limb so you had to suspend reality quite a bit when watching the show.

This one hasn't grasped its identity yet I don't think. It doesn't know if it should be way out there or rooted in reality yet. Once they pick a direction and stick with it, it will be better I think.

As mentioned earlier, the writers/producers have said that everything in the show is technically scientifically possible. So far I think, although alittle out there, its probably true.

I know for a fact that there is some research into using the visual impulses from the eye to the brain (ophthalmic nerve) and trying to get replicate that into a visual image on a screen. Researchers are doing this to understand blindness differences in some people. There are theories that you could in fact get the impulse from a dead person under speific situations. Remember, DNA was a myth sometime ago, bacteria was unknown many years ago, and well before that blood types were unknown. Science is all about new discovery.

I just watched the show. I kind of like it, I mean yea it does feel a lot like x-files but you know I loved x-files so I am not complaining to much. Though same time they seem to be taking a more scientific approach than a mythical one that x-files did much of the time. I can say I will definitely keep watching this.

I like it too. I thought the Shared dream state and last image on the eyes was OUT there I mean its all in theory but I mean their 2 for 2 on trying things.

I really enjoy it and hope it survives.

I just figure the show is set in the not so distant future. That ladys arm doesn't look like anything we could manufacture at this point IMO.

Thats an interesting take as well. If ihey came out and said it was maybe 40-50 years down the road, I think it might make me buy into some of what they are doing a little bit more...

I caught it last night for the 1st time. Personally, I thought it was awful. The acting was a joke, and that old doctor/scientist got on my nerves. Reminded me of a Hannibal Lecter wannabe, so annoying his actions were. I don't think there's a snowball's chance in hell that show doesn't get cancelled.

Its getting very good reviews in the media. If it was on a different network I would bet money it would at least survive a full season. However, Fox has a reputation for canning shows early (Drive:() Hopefully it survives though.

Ok ... finally caught up on this. I really like it -- particularly the interaction between the three leads. I love how each of the team members has his own strengths and responsibilities. I am particularly glad to see the wonderful John Noble getting steady work (as Walter). Film/TV geeks will remember him as Denethor (Boromir and Faramir's daddy in the LOTR movies) or Anatoly Markov from last season's "24."

I think they took some liberties with her being able to identify the bald man from seeing him once in a hospital picture, but other than that it was a good episode.

Hey Doc did that scene in the woods with The Observer remind you of an episode of Dr. WHO? I believe it was called midnight.

It really fits in, though, with the super-defined roles each of the team members has. Her powers of observation have been stressed before.

Still goin strong, but they are gonna have to come up with other ways to advance a story. The Dr. couldnt have worked on every area of "Fringe" science.

Great episode tonight very intense, also very gross at parts. Not very happy I gotta wait 3 weeks for a new episode but what can you do. Like ILPhinFan88 said I was worried about having the Dr work on every case from the past and Im glad they got away from that.

I just hope all this sci-fi takes it out of his system the next time he writes for Lost. And from a certain view, Anna Torv really looks like a younger Cate Blanchett.

    Another good episode.

I really like how they are developing ongoing side stories for each character.

I dont want to sound mean, but when she went off about her abusive dad that was the worst part of the series for me. It just seemed kinda forced in to the episode to tie in why she wanted to take down that guy so bad.

I actually like this show, but its yet another series that has a ceiling due to the fact its on Network TV instead of HBO or Showtime.

And yes, that sob story about her dad was lame, although I assume they will find a way to work him into the show.

Just started getting into this show. Not bad so far, although, it does sometimes remind me a bit of an inferior X-Files wannabe.

Not bad so far? Fringe is the balls. Never seen x-files so cant comment on the comparison. Fringe, The Office, and Lost my three favorite shows I dont know in what order.
