Garrett said Friday he was shocked by how detailed the Dolphins’ game plan for the Browns was. The defensive lineman said it felt like the Dolphins had a counter for every adjustment the Browns made and that they knew exactly what Cleveland wanted to do and knew how to stop it.

One gets the impression this is uncommon in the NFL. Garrett does not say it after every game, after all. Plus, it is not as if he is accusing the Browns of failing to adjust, as he has done before. He indicates that they tried, but that even their adjustments were stymied by Miami.

This is certainly a ringing endorsement for first-year coach Mike McDaniel and what he has done with the Dolphins. He has been praised for bringing out the best in Tua Tagovailoa, but the impact has been felt across the entire team. That is why the Dolphins are 7-3 with four wins in a row. Based on what Garrett is saying, they could pose a lot of problems for teams down the stretch and into the playoffs.

You beat me here to post this. It's not something you hear after most games, let alone from a top-5 player on a pretty solid defensive unit.

I was very critical of the Flores firing and it would be hard to argue that McDaniel wasn’t a major upgrade. Feels good to beat the teams we should and beat the teams that people picked for the playoffs and/or super bowl. It’s easy to see how Mike maximizes eve let ounce of talent on this team with his schemes and inspires confidence.

I was on the fence about firing Flores, as I could see arguments for and against it.

However hiring McDaniel has been a major upgrade, and the longer the season goes on the more I’m convinced that the major reason for the offense’s struggles under Flores was Flores himself.

I was upset when we fired Flores. Not because I was a huge fan of him, but because I'm tired of the lack of continuity we've had with this team. Sure, he was an *sshole, but he had back-to-back winning seasons and it seemed as if things were improving. And then, we started over. Again. It gets old after awhile. With that being said, I'm happy we went 180 in the other direction by hiring McDaniel. Dude absolutely changed the culture and breathed life into a team that had become a joke for many - including its own fans. I'm hopeful going into every season. It feels good to be relevant more than halfway into the campaign and I can't wait to see what comes next.

I'm skeptical about everything that happened with Flo, whether it's because of him or the team. Personally, I think he was toxic and nobody really cared as long as he managed to win games. Now, I'm glad he's gone and look forward to rooting out and removing his enablers within the organization from Ross on down.

I was loving McDaniel's hiring all along after watching is interviews.

After watching several games over the weekend I can say the Dolphins look really good compared to others.
