I'm shocked and surprised to learn that gently shoving opponents doesn't count for tackling. So many plays today where we didn't even use our hands and seemed surprised to see Niners players gain huge hards after contact. Don't get me wrong, the D played well enough to win the game, but surprisingly, were lacking in fundamentals. It wasn't just the secondary, BTW. Our linebackers (Duke Riley in particular) also failed to bring opponents down. They played with much more effort than we did.
Agreed. Greenlaw was better than any of our linebackers yesterday and he's not even the 9ers best LB.
Another fun fact, 1379 is exactly 100 yards away from Tyreek Hill's career high. So if he gets the 118 needed to break Johnson's record, he will not only be the Dolphins season leader, it will be his best year for yardage.
