Need a new coach. Tua is doing what he's told.

That, and Tua's TERRIBLE Wunderlic score keeps showing up week after week.

He just Does Not Read the defense and plays into the hands of opposing OCs week after week. Opposing defenses make adjustments and Dolphins never adjust on either side of the ball.

No real option but to give him another year with the lack of a first rounder. The best we can hope for is they don't give him a HUGE contract they then need to get out of in 2024.

Maybe we can work a trade with the Jets for Zach Wilson?

Hey what's Tua's rating at now?

If Tua finishes the season with a rating in the low 90s, we can officially say that he didn't play elite this season, right?

No excuse, but the Reason is obvious.

Tua is STUPID. Data actually proves it and it keeps showing up week after week.

yeah. Go do some research and watch some film. Coach isn’t the problem. A one read weak armed qb is the problem.

Guys are wide open the QB just holds back this team. Hill was the right read/throw on the last int. He’s open.

Qb sucks. Coach and his teammates have propped him up. When it’s on the qb tho and it matters and teams take away his first quick read he’s a sitting duck.

    It’s not coach. It’s qb.

One game is too small to nudge his overall rating down that much. It's 105.5.

But if he craps 2 more games like this it'll be in the mid-90's probably.

Yeah, I'm done watching this team for this year. Wasted time as I know the team will fail next week or going full Dolphin and dropping the game to the Jets to miss the playoffs.

    Pretty disheartening game.

Feel down on literally every single player who wore a Dolphins jersey. Except Hill, Waddle and maybe Christian Wilkins.

Classic Phins late season collapse. Doesn't seem to matter who is around. Four game losing streak as soon as things start to matter. QB falling off a cliff, defense can't stop anyone.

Absolute garbage. This team and franchise should be embarrassed. They are basically the Lions at this point.

Another Dolphins QB, though, probably throws at least 2 of those picks because those are the throws they would make based on the play call. The 2nd pick was a miscommunication. Probably not Tua's fault.
The 3rd pick is a timing play where the Packers defender read the play and dropped into a zone that McDaniel and Tua didnt expect him to.
This offense is not designed for the QB to think...

Either that or Tua just DOES NOT know how to read a defense.

Jimmy G could totally kill with this offense.
Any QB can hit those Wide Open throws that Hill and Waddle create. But Jimmy G isnt STUPID.

    Tua sucked.

Zero finishers on the pass rush.

    McDaniel outcoached again.

Broadcast openly rooting for the Packers.

    Just a miserable day.

    Don’t forget special teams!!

Botched kick return coverage right away.
Botched attempt at a squib kick
    Botched field goal late.
Mostert just watching a live kick bounce around inside our 5 yard line…

Can we please move on from Grier after this season? It's not even about Tua anymore, it's obvious he is a limited QB with inflated numbers based on chunk plays to wide open hill and waddle. The real issue is the guy who picked Tua over Herbert, and leveraged the future to win this season trying to force Tua down our throats. Flores was right, and the wrong guy got fired. As long as Grier is here we will continue to fail year after year. He cant draft worth a damn and you cannot build a super bowl contender like that, no matter how many flashy trades you pull off.

NFC Network 90% of the time. Of course theyre rooting for the NFC team.

I dont know if Tua can learn to read a defense, but if all we ever do are timing patterns where the ball always has to come out fast, no matter what, there's no way to stop Ints like the last one.
If Tua's arm prohibits him from holding it longer and then gunning it into tight spaces then, yeah, Flores was right, period. He might be right just from Tua's lack of intelligence, alone.

In my opinion, Tua needs to win the next two games ON HIS OWN for the Dolphins to move forward with him as quarterback next year.

That game today can't happen ever again.

Haha, you finally coming around now? The real issue is Grier, the guy who picked Tua, cant draft worth a damn, and put all his eggs in the Tua basket. Flores was right.

We are worse then the Lions. I think they are becoming a tough team with Dan Campbell. I don't know of any franchise worse than the Dolphins besides the Browns because of the Deshaun Watson trade. Team will never win another playoff game with Ross as owner because he makes terrible decisions every single time.

The refs didn't help us today but we can't blame them for 3 INTs, 1 Fumble, 1 Missed FG and way more mistakes. Team is poorly coached again. The dolphins need to STOP HIRING OFFENSIVE GURUS" and HIRE DEFENSIVE MINDED COACH NOT FROM THE PATRIOTS TREE. Bring in Mike Zimmer like they should have when we hired that bozo Philbin. Mcdaniel sucks, Tua sucks, Sanders Sucks, Boyer Sucks Grier Sucks Ross Sucks.

Have the Dolphins won a game since NFL penalized Ross and the team for tampering?

That loss of our first round pick is LOOMING LARGE!!

We are So Bereft of talent at LB and OL.

The next 3 years are already over, in all likelihood.
By 2024 offseason we'll be blowing it all up again.

We REALLY SHOULD try and trade every good player over 30.

The Tyreek Hill trade felt massively premature when it was made and is now being Proven to be premature because he's Amazing and Awesome and we're still losing games because our offensive line still cant open holes when we Need to run the ball and Tua Did NOT prove he was Capable.

Also, firing McD now would be dumb. It's Likely he will learn and do better next year.
Starting from scratch puts us right back to the same place a year from now.

I'd fire McDaniel and hire Sean Payton. F*&@ this nerd. Bring in Brady and Payton and we're Super Bowl favorites. Keep Tua as the backup and let him learn from the GOAT for a season or two.

Tua had a very rough day, and it's becoming obvious that the offense is pretty dumbed down for read one, read two, start running/scrambling. Tua has the accuracy, getting the anticipation, but McDaniel is doing all the thinking and it's a problem. Protection is still sub-par, Tua can't trust the pocket, and in my opinion he's been playing scared for the past month. So many throws the past four weeks being forced into tight windows- some awesome, some very dumb ones.

What got me was the run game- we were pounding the ball with ease and we just abandon it. Why?

I still think Tua could be the long-term answer, but that's not who he is today. What happened to 'salty Tua' who could go through his full progressions in 2.5 seconds? We're just not seeing that and balls are being forced over and over and over again. He's become Matt Moore, only he doesn't have Matt's arm talent or football smarts.

Don't want to pile on, but I just don't get it. How is he regressing so quickly? Are the play calls really "just throw the ball to Tyreek"....or "just throw to Waddle"?

It could be that simple. It's not like McD has a lot of experience calling plays. Maybe he shouldn't be doing it. As was the case with Gase, a rookie HC should be learning how to be a HC and not hanging on to the OC role because that's where he feels most comfortable.
Where were the half-time adjustments? It's pretty clear, we regressed in the second half.
Once again it looks like McD is overwhelmed by the job. Where's the leadership? It's not McD, he's just one of the boys.

Hard pass on Brady, who will be 46 next season - not exactly someone to build upon. And as far as Payton, you want to give up more first round picks?

I don’t think you’re one of them but there’s supporting the team and then there’s some of the a**hats on this board. It’s one thing to have a different option and it’s another to be a dip****. Like I said, that’s not you and I generally respect your opinion but many on here fit the description.

The thing about those INTs is that they have almost happened in just about every game Tua has played. I have seen him throw into double and triple coverage many times. He often gets very lucky. However, you could see that, eventually, that luck would end and it certainly did in this game. Sucks.

I'd love to hear a better solution because the only other option is to keep hiring the next genius with no HC experience.
