There was a flea flicker play Herbert completed that was a fastball to Allen.. wasnt even that deep, ball traveled about 18 yards from the LOS, probably 30 yards due to the angle Herbert was in, allen got 7 after the catch.. and im telling you right now that Tua cant make that throw. It needed to be thrown as fast as it did to get the ball out of Gilmore’s range, the window was too tight, but Herbert is so confident in his arm he got it done

Bottomline is Herbert will be in playoffs and we won"t.
Herbert will be playing for years and Tua won't.
Just face the facts dude we picked wrong guy.
    It's ok to admitt it.

I've watched a lot of Rogers games this year and he has had a ton of drops. Just not sure at his age he would be willing to do someone elses offense.

    Who won?

If I recall in the past we had to listen to how the Dolphins won with Tua therefore he was great.

The 2017 and 2020 drafts alone should have been enough to get Grier fired. Not to mention all the other stupid moves and the Flores fiasco which he is also responsible for.

The guy has been failing upwards for over 20 years with the dolphins. I don't get how he is still in charge.

Uh, if you think there was no way for him to break his fall, we must be watching different replays.

You describe it like it was some sort of bad hit.

Several of the talking heads are calling for Tua to be out for the season (which is 2 to maybe 4 weeks). I think I agree with them.

Regardless of opinions on Tua or my selfish desire to see our team in the playoffs, he needs to start thinking about his long term health.

100%. There are some terrible takes on his skills, and what he did this year in this thread, but his health is undeniably a big issue for him. He has shown how good he can be. There is no reason not to give him as much time to recover for the next season. This isn't likely a Superbowl team. Concussions need time. They need to save his career from himself.

Rodgers would be a monster here. Get some LBs, a CB, and a DC. It would make us into a legitimate contender.

Did anyone confirm he had a concussion against Green Bay?

    No.

Could he have just gone into work tired and with a headache like most of us do everyday?

    Yes.

    Let's wait for the details.

Honestly, I don't think it makes much of a difference. Either way he's likely done for the season and has serious health concerns moving forward.

If its prime Rodgers for sure but there has to be concern he has gone over the hill. Its still a gamble worth the discussion but at no point has he really looked like the Rodgers of old this year.

For the 2020 draft and then completely wasting all of the capitol from the Tunsil trade, Grier should be shown the door with his bald head TODAY. He is an absolute joke. He completely destroyed this franchise for many years to come.
I said it in the 2020 draft thread, mistakes like that can set a franchise back for many years and all we can do now is hope we get really lucky somewhere along the way. That is it. F it. Some of us will be fertilizing daffodils before we get a franchise QB and start becoming a successful franchise again. F him!

He has lots of drops and his WR are garbage. His arm still looks really strong. My issue would be is his attitude good enough to work with coach

I feel like this is Tua and the Dolphins being extra cautious, he probably just came into work a little lethargic and reported it. I believe he is required to report any symptoms of a concussion he may have even in the slightest.

You saw drops in the Miami game but also throws he would have made in the past. Guy will be 40 next year and that should raise alarms when its anyone other than Brady.

Wishful thinking. Sounds more like they are just covering themselves and the protocols they have in place.

You think that's a conspiracy theory? The NFL is covering themselves in terms of culpability? This is pretty standard issue PR.

"Tua showed no injury behaviors & reported no symptoms" doesn't rule out a concussion in the slightest. There's complexity around concussions. Delayed symptom presentation is a thing. Tua said postgame: "I might have said the wrong play. I’m not too sure." Sounds like he was having problems remembering what play he called even postgame.

He was covering for Mostert who obviously didn't read the right hot route on that second interception.

"Maybe I said the wrong play" was clearly Tua covering for Mostert running the wrong route.

I mean Tua could have left it at miscommunication. Not say he didn't remember what play he called. Also, Mostert could have been covering for Tua, or does that only go one way?

He said, "I might have said the wrong play. I’m not too sure."

What does that mean if he's "not too sure (if he said the wrong play)?"

Watch the interview or listen to the soundbite. The text doesn't do justice to what was actually said and how it was said.

I did. I took it as he wasn't too sure because he couldn't recall for some reason.

I mean is your current working theory Tua hit his head off the ground in a similar way to his previous concussion, played terribly/threw 3 interceptions after, and then the next day completely unrelated to that reported he was feeling concussion symptoms which as a competitor understanding the implications of it ending his season did anyway?
