Doesn’t help missing 4 starters. Having said that, if Grier wasn’t so bad at drafting, maybe we’d have someone to replace Jones, some LB’s and/or an OL that’s worth a s**t.

I am sold on the coach. Offense has plays to be made. I think the DC and kicker need to go for sure.

Tua is not the problem. That much is evident whether you like it or not. We haven't wont a game without him this year. The offense is downright terrible without him. These are facts. Now, that doesn't mean that I think Tua is a franchise saving quarterback, but we are a much better team when he plays.

You are part of the problem if you can’t stay on the field, we have a lot those. Thread should be “Tua is not the only problem”

Hate to say it, I dont know that he’s any better than Flores. We’re going to have the same record as Flores last year and we added Armstead, Hill, Chubb, Mostert, Wilson and Williams.

Agreed. However, if you go by PFFs positional values, QB is like 3-4x more valuable than the 2nd most valuable position (WR).

If you don't have it at QB, it's REALLY hard to make it up elsewhere. You need your QB to be THAT dude.

Not sure if anyone is watching but Mike White has been absolutely terrible all game. He's missing wide open receivers five yards out.

The fans love him! They cheer his name! He's so polarizing! That instantly means he's better than Tua. All he needs now is to grow a cool beard like Fitzpatrick.

And? We're still better with him than without him. Are you denying that? Are you literally going to deny FACTS? We're 8-4 with Tua as the starter. We're 0-4 without him. WERE BETTER WITH HIM THAN WITHOUT HIM. You have no way of arguing this in any way possible. There's no absolute way you can argue a concrete fact based off of our record. God you people area ridiculous.

How long have you been following this team? We have to beat the Jets to get in, it's a must win obviously. How has this team faired in must win situations recently? I don't have any faith what so ever in us beating the Jets with Skylar Thompson as our quarterback next week. That game is going to be ugly and frustrating. I can also see the Bills resting their starters and the Patriots beating them. That's the way it goes for this team. Hopefully I'm wrong and we can get the win and get in. I'd love to see this team back in the playoffs even if it's as a sacrificial slaughter to the Kansas City Chiefs.

They won't rest if they win tomorrow. Not sure what they would do if they lost given that #1 seed would still be possible but a bit of a longshot..

If they don't rest their starters, they'll smoke New England. I think we're in troubled though regardless. Unless Bridegwater can play through the bad finger. Hell, he sucks when he's healthy though. It's not going to matter. The Jets have a good defense, Thompson wont be able to complete anything against them.

They would need some big turnovers which is also not something you can have much faith in at this point. Maybe they will get lucky and the Jets will roll over now that they are done.

“For Tagovailoa though, the 24-year-old has worryingly suffered three separate concussions this season, which some neuroscientists say should be enough for him to consider retiring from the sport.

Standing at around 6'0 and just 215lbs, Tagovailoa is one of the smaller quarterbacks in the league, who does not possess the requisite speed or girth to avoid or withstand hits from defensive players.

Now suffering with his 13th injury in five years”.

Now that the Dolphins are in the playoffs.. I'd like to see two things:

    1. Tua be back for the playoffs.
    2. Tua end with the #1 passer rating for 2022.

There are 3 games left to play to see who ends up with the highest passer rating: Hurts, Garoppolo and Smith could all overtake Tua today. 3 1/2 more hours and we'll see if Tua did it. Mahomes barely missed out.. he ended with 0.3 passer rating points less than Tua. Regardless of whether Tua is the long term solution or not I'd love to see a Dolphins QB achieve that. Last time was Marino in 1984.

I’d rather see Tua play a full season than any meaningless number 1 passer rating stat that won’t matter when we’re watching other teams after we lose to Buffalo

Suit yourself. Every team that doesn't win the SB in the end failed. I'd still rather see us achieve something rather than nothing. It's not meaningless.. at least not to me.

It is about winning a Super Bowl but if you want to think of this as a stepping stone we backed our way into the playoffs losing 5/6 with the exact same record we had last year. Doesn’t really feel like progress. Especially since we can’t count on Tua or Armstead to play a full season next year. Just feels like the same old Dolphins 6-9 win purgatory we’ve been in forever.

But how'd we back in to begin with? By going 8-0 with Tua and 3-0 without him in those 1st 11 games. I would much rather "back in" this way than finish the year stacking wins and dominating, only to be out of the playoffs.

Progress is making the playoffs. More progress would be a playoff win. We can look at the negatives, sure, but there's really no point to since we know we're in trouble next week. May as well enjoy it now.

Really depends on Tua and which DC we get next year. If Tua plays well at Buffalo in a playoff game, that's a very good sign and it means we do have something on offense to build on. If he doesn't, I agree it's the same old Dolphins. I mean.. we're back to having to find a franchise QB which is extremely difficult to do. Equally important of course is who replaces Boyer. Got to get that right too.

We'll see. I'm not ready to call this the same old Dolphins. There's potential here if Tua plays well against Buffalo.

Point is this team isn’t built to contend and all of our draft capital is gone. We went all in to finish with the exact same record we had with our last coach. Doesn’t feel like progress.

But that stat you're chasing is fool's gold, because it isn't truly representative of the player. It doesn't show how many games were missed, or how many points were scored. It creates an illusion that the player is worth keeping when the reality is, he isn't able to be depended on. Also, I question what he would look like if he was back to having only Waddle? One my main concerns to begin with was that I never felt like he was the main part of the Alabama offense, he was just the guy to hand the ball to Heisman backs or throw it to first round draft pick receivers. And it's starting to look like that's the case, as it took Tua having two amazing receivers to seemingly do anything.
