If doctors clear him, there's nothing anyone can do except for Tua.

They were favored by 7 I think a few weeks ago so I think it just shows uncertainty. Probably 7-8 with Tua, 13-14 with Skylar and somewhere in the middle with Teddy.

    I think Tua is +8.5, Bridgewater +12.5, Thompson +16.5

+10 is just holding that middle spot. I think it means Vegas thinks Tua is 50/50 for next week.

Tua is finished this season. No shot in hell he clears and practices this week.

Gun to my head. Skylar or Teddy. I'll take the bullet.

If Tua can't play Sunday I hope they stick with Thompson. He wasn't too bad today against a tough defense.

Jets have the 2nd best passing defense in the league and Skylar has had to face them twice.

I don't think Skylar is an NFL QB, but guy has been dealt an extremely difficult hand.

Adam Beasley does not believe Tua will play against the Bills. Sounds like it’ll be Teddy B starting at Buffalo.

I agree him not being on the sidelines is a little concerning, unless protocol states you can't be on the field at all.

I don't think we'll see Tua for the rest of the season. This franchise really has to meditate on this whole subject and figure out a solution. Pro Tua, anti Tua...Doesn't matter. His health and his future life is what matters the most. He keeps getting his bell rung and it's not going to be pretty for him or anyone else involved with this franchise. I'd personally give Bridgewater the start against the Bills if he can go. I don't think it's going to matter though. The offense has been horrible when Tua misses games. We should all be grateful to at least have made the playoffs at this point. Think of it as a step in the right direction and that's all that should be expected. Personally I am more than prepared to receive a 42-3 drubbing at the hands of the Buffalo Bills next week with either Teddy or Thompson starting. Doesn't matter, we made the playoffs, we didn't go out like chumps. It wasn't a full choke, only a 3/4. I also think McDaniels is safe for next season.

I don't see anything explicit in the protocol preventing it (https://www.nfl.com/playerhealthandsafety/resources/fact-sheets/nfl-return-to-participation-protocol).

    However:
I guess it could be argued Tua being on the sidelines could aggravate symptoms. Noise. Lights. Getting involved in plays. Ect..

He played mistake free football, made some ballsy throws under pressure, threw it away avoiding sacks, no turnovers. He seemed to be pretty cool under pressure with the playoffs on the line. He didn't put up huge numbers but he managed the game pretty well for a rookie against a tough defense. I feel better with him at QB than Bridgewater.

Where did you see he's not allowed near practice fields? He can't do any aerobic activity. So he doesn't practice with the team, but I don't think that's the same thing as saying he can't be on the field. He also can't be in any team meetings until he gets to step 2.

He was on the sidelines last time he was out so him being in the tunnel has to be someone deciding they don't want him out there. Which would make it seem very unlikely he could play.

It's as simple as that. But, the Tua bashers never give up an opportunity to poke jabs in his direction.

That assumption is no more valid than someone else who thinks he's avoiding the sidelines.

Well that is true but the difference is nobody honestly believes he doesn't want to be out there.

But I was a bit wrong. He was only out there for the Vikings game but he had already cleared by that time. He was not with the team for the Jets where he had not cleared.

The point I'm making here is that it's not explicitly said in the rules that Tua can't be on the sideline during games. I can't find this in the rules. If you can, please let me know.

Therefore, if he's not there, as my post #461 stated. It means the doctors don't think him being in that sideline environment is good for his health. Which again brings us to my initial point that that boy ain't right and he's still a good while away from returning.

The ones that go out of their way to always criticize him and find it extremely difficult to throw praise in his direction.
He wasn't standing on the sidelines yesterday so he should be ashamed of himself. Can't make this stuff up.
How many players who are in concussion protocol are on the sidelines during a game ?
Is it even allowed ? Was it recommended that he not be there ?
The silliness of all the finger pointing is ridiculous. I actually read a comment (not here) that said Tua should be less focused on his eye black markings and more focused on the games.
The Tua complainers have no boundaries whatsoever..
The whiners here ,at first glance, seem to be many but it's easy enough to realize it's less than meets the eye.
For instance, I can name one person here and that will take care iof three different posts..

It could be their own rule. Has any Dolphin in the protocol been on the sidelines this year?

I agree. He is not standing in the tunnel by choice. It doesn't make you think he is close to returning and they aren't going to clear him Saturday and then throw him out there.

When you said “that boy ain’t right” I thought you meant he was a bad teammate for not being out there - my mistake.

I would agree he’s not close to returning.
