Rodgers is going to stay in Green Bay.. aint no way you go from Jones, Lazard and Watkins to throwing to a bunch of nobodies, learning a brand new offensive system in the jets.. and a shaky o line..

itll fail as much as favre’s tenure with the jets..

with that said… i know packers fans want rodgers back, they all think hes god, and many of them have said they want to do a darkness retreat as well because rodgers did it.. but the packers front office want out of the rodgers era asap..

Lazard is going to leave and the Jets WRs are not worse than GB

But the AFC is stacked and the NFC is bad plus his best days are behind him so that is why its dumb

Right because initially you were ignoring that they are a dysfunctional franchise.

Only a dysfunctional franchise picks a QB like Tua at #5.

If there was another QB needy franchise picking before us, they would've taken him.

Yeah, San Diego definitely wasn't going to pick him if the Dolphins took Herbert. :001_rolleyes:

NE would have taken Tua in a heartbeat if he fell into their lap.

Honest question for everyone on this forum. What would you think of us trading for Aaron Rodgers? It would most certainly mean the end of Tua in Miami, but what are the thoughts on that idea?

Rogers had zero games over 300 yards last season. Daniel Jones had 2.

Still can't believe the contract Jones just signed.

The answer for me is what would it be like to have constantly exploding diarrhea? Because that would make me feel better than trading for Rodgers.

There's absolutely nobody clamoring for this guy who isn't even really sure if he wants to play football anymore, except for a desperate Jets team who think they are close to a superbowl for some reason.

We would have to give up too much and Rodgers is on his last legs, dont like it. Would rather convince brady to unretire and wait until our nexy first round pick to draft another QB.

No thanks. I doubt you’d get more than one year out of him, the cost in players and/or picks would be prohibitive, and his salary is ridiculous. Let the Jets screw themselves by making this move.

So what? I'm not sure we were competing with anything but ourselves for Tua.

Would have been wonderful if someone else had picked him in the first.

Yeah, you're right. I mean, it's not like Rogers is 39 years old and had a significant decrease in performance this past season or anything.

Future first and 50+ million for a QB who looked on the way to washed and will probably retire in a year? What's not to love?

Green Bay doesn't want him back, and there's a reason for that. I wouldn't want him for non-football reasons...he's a complete diva and not a good person.

Agreed. Tom Brady is less hate-able at this stage than Aaron Rodgers. There's nothing worse in professional sports than an athlete with no personality trying to be a personality, and that's Aaron Rodgers.

I think you’ll find that sentiment in quite a few NFL cities, including Green Bay, where over 75% of fans polled want the team to move on from Rodgers and turn the team over to Love, who has done nothing yet in this league.

That is all about owners colluding to ensure fully guaranteed contracts don’t become a thing. If anyone believes otherwise, I’ve got a bridge I can sell you.

Zero chance. Belichick would never draft a six foot quarterback in the first round.

He’s a Parcells disciple and that was rule number one for the Tuna. Parcells would never give a first round grade to a six foot quarterback.

The Tua stuff is team propaganda. If they really believe in him then where is the four year contract extension?

I turned on him years ago after I found out that his brother (an NFL QB prospect that washed out) did an interview about him and said that they hadn't spoken in awhile over a minor argument. This infuriated Aaron and he cut off all contact with his entire family, hasn't talked to them in 7+ years because they were all "bad-mouthing him to the media."

He's also never given a penny to anyone in his family since joining the NFL, and seemed offended when a reporter asked him early in his career why not. Rodgers made it out like his entire family only wanted to talk to him because of the money (despite never giving any of them any). When his parents denied that and said they just missed their son, well, you can see where this trend is going...

I personally think he has mental issues and I'd never, ever ever want him in Miami because I have zero respect for him. I'd take Rodgers over Watson, that's about it.
