There's varying levels of success. Forget the Superbowl. A win in one playoff game would be something the Dolphins haven't done in 23 years.

Forget the Super Bowl? Winning that is the sole reason the Jets signed Rodgers; not to merely be competitive in the AFC. If they don’t win a championship with him, then the trade is a failure.

When one looks at football strictly from the offensive point of view, one comes to that conclusion.

When you look at both sides of the ball, one has to ask how our defense allowed the Jets to put up a forth burger on us? THE JETS!!!!!

How does our defense, with the 49ers former OC as our head coach allow the 49ers to score 33 on us? Jesus Boyer, you couldn’t have consulted and developed a better game plan?

Just a couple of examples but the point being, football is about offense AND defense…otherwise, you might as well talk about flag football being a real game.

Zappe is why they want to get rid of Jones. I watched his college career. Reminds me of Burrow the way he reads and gets rid of the ball. Their offense looked better when Zappe played and he even made Parker look good.

He had 1 good game. If they move on from Mac it will probably be because they draft someone in a couple days.

That's nonsense. That's not how you judge a trade. The sole reason was because they felt it made their team much better. It gives them the best chance to win a Super Bowl. The season can still be very successful for them if they fall short of winning the Super Bowl.

And when was the last time your Jets won a Super Bowl ?
You are overly concerned about your division rivals and you know what, you should be.

No matter how many times you say I'm a Jet's fan. I'm not. This is just dumb. Stop.

If I were a Jets fan, I'd be super happy about Rodgers going to the Jets, and then tell you how great I think Tua is. How he's totally going to stay healthy this season and be great.

If Rodgers was 32, I’d agree with you. At this point, he’s only going to play for another year or two. This trade has Super Bowl or bust written all over it.

Do you really think that Jets fans will be happy with the trade if they don’t win? No chance.

All he has to be is better than any QB’s the Jets have had for the last 20 years and he’s worth the 2 2nd round picks they traded for him. Anything better is icing on the cake.

Jets fans I know think they're waltzing into the AFC championship. Anything less will be a massive disappointment.

Exactly. They're hoisting the Lombardi in April, when will they ever learn.?
Hopefully never it's more fun this way.

He might want to play for 3+ if he's happy there, and winning.

Yes. Absolutely. If he helps them win the division, or get to the playoffs and win. What did they give up really? Well worth it.

    Congrats

Look, are the Jets a better team with Rodgers? Absolutely, only a fool would say otherwise?

Are they the instant front runner to win the division, go to the AFC championship and win the Super Bowl?

Absolutely not, only a fool say something so ridiculous

It's a good move for the Jets and undoubtably makes them better. The road to winning our division just got harder.

I'm not sure why it pushes them up to 5th favourite for the Superbowl when they are still the 3rd best team in the division.

He had more then 1 good game, but you can believe what you want. Coach at WKU coached Sam Donald, Brandon Doughty, Mike White, and Zappe. He said Zappe was the best of all of them.

One of the players who will be facing Rodgers is also excited about his arrival. Dolphins defensive end Bradley Chubb said at a Tuesday press conference that he believes Rodgers’ presence will lift everyone’s game to a new height during the two matchups between the divisional rivals this season.

“I’m excited,” Chubb said. “It’s an opportunity to play against one of the best quarterbacks that ever played the game. I’m excited to compete against that twice a year. Each time I play him, it brings out the best in everybody. Everybody knows that we got A-Rod this week, so we got to be on our Ps and Qs. Now we’ve just got a division full of great quarterbacks. So I’m excited to be in the mix and be competing towards the end of the year when it really counts and stuff like that. So it’s gonna be fun.”

Chubb’s former teammate/current Bill Von Miller and Patriots edge rusher Matthew Judon likely have similar feelings about the arrival of Rodgers in what is shaping up to be a hotly contested division now that Rodgers is officially part of the AFC East.

Jets cornerback Sauce Gardner, whose Super Bowl week media tour abruptly ended after he apparently said a little more than he should have said about the looming pursuit of Aaron Rodgers, had some things to say now that Rodgers will be heading to Green Bay.

Appearing on the Slow News Day podcast with Kevin Clark, Gardner was asked whether the team’s protracted postseason drought ends this year. “Most definitely,” Gardner replied. “We were a playoff team last year, you know, we just — we didn’t finish like we were supposed to. But with A-Rod joining and a few more new pieces, that just makes it like easy.”

Gardner took to Twitter to clarify his comments. “Easier,” he now says, not “easy.”

It was smart for him to do it. Last year, they didn’t make the playoffs, even though Gardner insisted they were a playoff team. This year, they might not make the playoffs, either. They’re suddenly in one of the toughest divisions in the league, and they otherwise play the Chiefs, Eagles, Cowboys, Giants, and Chargers.

It's hard to make the playoffs when you have the worst rated QB in the league starting games. And contrary to what a lot of people think, White wasn't a whole lot better. Flacco is done.

If Rodgers stays healthy I don't see any reason why a 7 win team with Zach Wilson can't win 3 more games and make the playoffs. And yes, I know they beat some backup QB's last year but they also beat their new QB on the road as well as Josh Allen. I expect the playoff seeding and most likely the division winner to go down to the final week. Should be a fun season!

Beast in the East. It will be difficult to earn a #1 or 2 seed and therefore more of a challenge to get to a Superbowl. Or for a silver lining, the East teams will be battle tested and ready to take on anyone in the playoffs. Fun times ahead as the leaderboard may shift weekly
