I'm in an argument with a friend of mine(Eagles fan) on who the top 10 cornerbacks in the NFL are. He seems to think that the Eagles have 3 of the top 12. And i strongly disagree.

    My list:
    1. Asomugha
    2. Mathis
    3. Bailey
    4. Clements
    5. Newman
    6. Trufant
    7. Finnegan
    8. Samuel
    9. Harris
    10. McCalister

I'm not good with this top ten stuff but here's a list I guess.

    1.Nmadi Asoughma
    2.Marcus Trufant
    3.Asante Samuel
    4.Rashean Mathis
    5.Courtland Finnegan
    6.Champ Bailey
    7.Nate Clements
    8.Chris McCalister
    9.Rhonde Barber
    10.Antonio Cromartie

I put Bailey at six because despite him being a top CB in the past, the completion percentage against him last year was around 63%. I have Cromartie at ten because while last year he was brilliant, this year he has struggled. Finnegan is in the top five because he can do it all, one of my favorites. Mathis and Samuel are there because they're very good players, simple as that. Asoughma can do it all. Clements is good but I heard he got beat a lot last year and I saw him in pre-season and he got beat there at times. I think that Clements and Bailey could flip flop. McCalister seems to have nagging injuries but is really good. Him or Barber could flip flop as well.

I would put Sheppard in there as well. He may have been injured a bit but he's still a premier cover corner.

My top 15 list for now:
    1.Nnamdi Asomugha
    2.Marcus Trufant
    3.Asante Samuel
    4.Cortland Finnegan
    5.Rashean Mathis
    6.Champ Bailey
    7.Terence Newman
    8.Lito Sheppard
    9.Ronde Barber
    10.Antonio Cromartie
    11.Charles Tillman
    12.Charles Woodson
    13.Darrelle Revis
    14.Ike Taylor
    15.Sheldon Brown

    Rising stars at CB:
    1. Antonio Cromartie
    2. Cortland Finnegan
    3. Darrelle Revis
    4. Leon Hall
    5. Fred Bennett
    6. Eric Wright
    7. Antoine Cason
    8. Aaron Ross
    9. Brent Grimes
    10. Jonathan Joseph

I'm really high on Revis and think he will be a top five CB in this league. I have him at the 13 or 14 spot right now.

What are your top CB's? (no homerism lol)

Switching Revis with McCalister works better imo. Barber can sack and get INT's while McCalister gets INT's and injuries lol. I like Revis a lot. Too bad he plays for you guys lol. Also, Dwight Lowery is going to be a good one. One of the top duos in a few years imo.

pretty good. Only thing is I think everyone is too high on antonio cromartie. Got a lot of garbage ints (like deangelo hall with falcons) and was burnt a ton this season and had only 2 ints. Might be just s soph. slump but i wouldnt have him in the top 10

Asomugha is the best CB in football and it's not even close. Till he was injured Charles Woodson was pushing him. Al Harris is very good. Lito Sheppard has hardly played in 2 seasons; he's very mediocre at this point. Finnegan and Revis are very good. Antoine Winfield is very good. Leodis McKelvin and Dominique Rodgers Cromartie are going to be special. Ike Taylor is continually overlooked. Chris Gamble is very underrated.

Chris Gamble is a pretty good young CB as well

Lots of guys getting by on rep and name recognition from these lists imo. Newman, Sheperd, McAllister, even Champ.

And Cromartie is very overrated right now. He got torched alot this past season. He put up some good INT stats and if he has the ball he can run with it, but as a pure corner hes average at best right now. Jammer is the best CB on that team easily.
Not much love for Antoine Winfield I see, and Leodis McKelvin is a solid youngster.

Boom I agree on Gamble, was sad but not surprised to see the Panthers lock him up witha contract. I can only imagine the kind of contract Asomugha will get if the Raiders mess up. Unlikely, but it IS the Raiders.

Before his knee. Lets see how he recovers next year in a full season.

IMO, Taylor and Charles Tillman are the two most underrated or unappreciated corners in the league. I would love to have them are our corner pair like they were in college. They are both very tough, ornery and physical and I like that in a corner.
