For yet another TE. You gotta give them credit for not standing pat at any time. Their roster really is a fluid place.

The guy we cut, Drew Atchison was about that size, I had him as one of the sleepers for us this year, but Haynos sounds like a beast.

To bad about Jalen P though...we could have had Mike Hart to...

I seriously think they're planning on implementing the unbalanced OL more often. Otherwise this seems like an odd, random move.

  8. I thought Parmele had potential...hope nobody in the AFC east picks him up & he eventually bites us in the a**.

you had to see the writing on the wall when Cobbs was getting reps in regular season games and Parmalee wasn't.... although again i question why they even drafted Parmalee & Hilliard. Two positions that we arguably have the most talent already at. When we're hurting bad for WRs and DBs, you think they would have taken flyers on late-round guys of positions we need.

    best of luck to Parmalee...

You know New England already signed him right? I give it a day and he's a Pat.

  12. That's exactly the kind of thing I'm afraid of. It's a pattern that has happened to us in the past. Hopefully the guys that we have running the show now will keep the good & only cut people when what we keep is clearly better talent.

  16. Do you know how long it takes to clear waivers? How long do we have to wait without another team signing him b4 we can put him on the practice squad?

That's another wasted move! I hope we'll get Parmele to the ps! We should activate Jayson Foster to the roster insted of signing more offensive linemans! He won't see any playing time but Foster could be a playmaker for us!

Too bad, I liked Parmele. He made a couple of great plays in preseason. Of course, so did John Avery.

  20. Thanks. Hope we get him back.

We drafted two guys at RB because Brown was coming off an ACL and Ricky is....well, Ricky...that was enough for me to understand...

They just didn't know how Browns rehab was going to go and whether or not Ricky can stay motivated...so far, so good, that made Parmele dispensable for now. Besides that, the fact that he was not a STer really hurt him...

Im a bit surprised here. I thought he would be our 3rd RB for sure. I guess Cobbs has made more of an impression on ST though... hopefully Parmele clears waivers and we're able to sign him to the PS if we wanted. Out of the two RB's we drafted, i Hated the Hilliard pick, i was ok with this pick, as parmele seemed to have potential, and would have been nice to have behind ronnie and ricky. However, it appears now that ronnie and ricky have proven they are ready to go this year, parmele and cobbs became expendable, and parmele got the axe... too bad, best of luck, to him... unless he's signed to an AFCE team

I saw a lot of talent in Parmele. IMO, this is a good move only if it is structured to get help to an abysmal special teams unit. Anyone know if that may be the case?

Probably the Jets or Pats and watch him turn into a solid producing back which he can become.

    Joey Haynos

Didn't see this post around on the boards, but we cut RB Jalen Parmele and added TE Joey Haynos.

All I know about this guy is that he was a converted Basketball player/TE and is 6'8" 260lbs. He played for Maryland in college and I think he was an undrafted rookie signed by the Packers.

Anyone got any more info about this kid?

Wow I'm blind...Just saw the Parmele Cut Post. You cand move this :/

Everything I have read about Haynos leads me to beleive he is being brought in for his blocking ability.

Saw Haynos play once last year...not quick nor fast, didn't see him get any separation on his routes. He'll have to make it on his height and blocking ability. Of course, it was only one game, so maybe there's more to him, such as the ability to find holes in zones, etc.

We have passing TE's. I dont think he was brought in for that. I think he will play strictly on 3 TE formations, blocking sit. If he plays.
