I'm seriously going to have a hard time falling asleep tonight. Winning a slugfest against a tough team was huge. When the story's written about this season, this might be the moment folks talk about the most. No hyperbole intended.
Here's the scene for me. Just take out the 6 minutes of a wrestling match and replace it with the final 3 minutes of a football game when you get the ball and you're down by 1 point.
Don’t wanna see the Browns in the Playoffs, but let‘s win in Baltimore first to silence all the doubters (although I like flying under the radar)!
What an exciting and gut wrenching game if I’m being honest. I couldn’t help but think on no when we went down 20-19!! I felt all those negative feelings that have haunted us for the last 10 years! Glad I was wrong and now I can enjoy Christmas!!!
If that's what you took from my posts, that's a sad take. I've had a dozen takes where I'm excited. Your post about me was like the posts where people ignore 20 of Tua's positive attributes and suggest that one negative one is proof that he sucks.
Dallas knew we needed to run the ball and we got three positive gains out of it. Wilson showed up and showed out when we needed him to. Getting the first downs on rushes was a nasty way to end this game and I'll bet Cowboys fans hated it.
Unless the Chefs lose another game, Miami needs to beat Buffalo, right? Even the Browns could go 12-5 and have tiebreakers on Miami? I'm not sure about all this and the only thing that matters right now is beating the Ravens. Keep winning and everything will work out fine for Miami -a good position to be in.
We need to win 1 more game out of the next two and we win the division or Buffalo needs to lose one of their last two games and we win the division.
When the media piles on the Cowboys for not beating good teams on the road, this play indicates how they lack nuance when jumping on a narrative. Just like when Hill fumbled against the Chiefs. One play is the difference between winning and losing but let's not apply context to a discussion.
Couldn’t post during the game since I was streaming on my phone but as I said in an earlier post, the ONLY stat that matters is the scoreboard. We win, they lost…we’re in the playoffs. Merry Christmas!!!!
Sports media is no different than the news media…have to be FIRST to break the story… Sad thing is, they often don’t verify the story before releasing.
My heart was beating out of my chest. This game was the most intense game I've seen us play all season. I had to go to the other room and watch it in the dark. No kidding, I had family and friends here and NONE of them like the NFL (we're music and game people). They were all "dude what's your deal" and rather than explain myself, I snuck away with my laptop and hid in a room and watched the fourth quarter. After we made the kick to win it, I came out and carved the ham like a boss. All jokes aside, this win feels better than any win we've gotten this year. I hope we can just keep rolling. Who knows? Maybe we'll shock the world and beat Baltimore. If we can go into the playoffs on a hot streak then there's no telling how far we can go. The one game I'd really love to see us win would be against the Bills. They have our number right now...Very important that we beat them because we're probably going to see them again in the playoffs.
I think what was really impressive about this game outside of Sanders absolutely stroking it is our D and how our ragtag OL held their own against a very good D. Hopefully we can get Holland, Hunt, Jackson back this week and be close to full strength down the stretch. Also, really hoping Mostert, Waddle and Hill can somehow get better
Merry Christmas everyone!! Now that I have a little quiet time and sleeping on it overnight… This was truly an impressive win by the Dolphins. The narrative of the Dolphins not being able to win against a heavy hitter SHOULD be gone, but like the loss against Kansas City, this was a close one that came down to the wire. Tua played an efficient game, going 24/37 for 293 yards and a touchdown against a stingy cowboys defense. Moestert had 11 carries for 46 yards. Offensively the Dolphins ran the ball 24 times vs 37 passing plays. I’d like to see that ratio closer to 50:50, but sometimes you have to adjust the game based on circumstances. Speaking of adjusting, McDaniel did a great job calling the game. We’re there those few behind the LOS plays we all hate? Yea, but I wonder if it was all part of McDaniels misdirection to get defenses where he wanted. Anyhow, he tested the waters once on 4th down and came up short. Defense was playing well, we were deep in the redzone, why not give it a shot. Lesson learned. We took the points anytime we could get them afterwards. Jason Sanders brought his A game last night! Five field goals, 3 of them for 50+ yards, setting a team record. In my heart I thought we were going to steamroll over Dallas but I really should have known this was going to be a slugfest. Both teams on paper were matched up so evenly. Our offense vs their defense. Their offense vs our defense. The only real stat if you will in our favor for yesterday game was Dallas’ abysmal record on the road. Playoff berth clenched. Two games to go. Hopefully San Francisco will steam roll Baltimore, although I’m not certain that would be in our best interest. Good teams rarely lose two in a row and I’d hate to face a ravens team out for revenge. The way the Patriots played yesterday, I wouldn’t count next week’s name as an automatic victory for the Bills. Belichick’s days in New England may be numbered but I think he may be auditioning for his next gig. Anyhow, great win. Santa kept his promise and I can enjoy the rest of my Christmas. Merry Christmas everyone and Fins up!
With Micah Parsons and essentially a backup OL, figured this was close. Was cool to see us win with all 3 phases. That’s what it takes to beat good teams. We left some plays out there and probably are as banged up as any team in the NFL right now. Impressive win all around!
what a fantastic Christmas present. Watched the whole game on Sky TV and my heart was pounding when Sanders was lining up that match winning FG.
Speaking of SkyTv...I watched a stream broadcasting the Sky Sports stream...I was impressed. What stood out the most to me was there was almost no commercials. When the game goes to commercial break, Sky runs their little 4 person sports show. Was really refreshing, actually.
new narrative is already on twitter and socials that we have only beaten 1 team with a winning record! They just won’t let it go!
