So I was watching another crappy SNL show tonight, but damn them, they do often have great musical performances. I am not on the cutting edge of music, and thus cannot claim to know any modern bands before they blow up, so forgive me for being a lame-o. But I heard these guys, Kings of Leon, and I love their sound. Reminds me of bands I used to listen to. This song is on of the best I've heard in quite a while. Mind you, I'm a guy who loves everything from Rage Against the Machine, to Pubic Enemy, to Eddie freakin Money. I usually have around the same taste as you......but that guys voice drove me crazy....he was terrible....i didn't mind the music or lyrics but his vocals made snl's writers sound good
really? I liked his voice. kind of sounded like a good rock n roll voice to me. not perfect, but its own style.
I love Kings of Leon. They are a wonderful band in my view. Their latest single, Sex on Fire make me play the finger drums on my steering wheel.
I think they did about all the songs on Stuck on You, a really funny movie BTW. "Boy that Robert Evans, he banged 'em didn't he. He banged them all."
i liked "On Call" (wasn't that on the Garden State soundtrack?) when i heard it a couple of years ago. haven't heard anything else by them.
lol..im ashamed to admit, I liked that Cher song from that movie too. awesome movie. those farelly bros. always have pretty good music to their movies. you ever see "The Kid Stays In the Picture" the Bob Evans story/documentary? Its pretty damn good.
Good band. His voice is def. different. Its something diffrent than what we hear on the radio all the time.. they have their own sound. I give them a thumbs up
I never knew it was a movie. Thought it was just a book. Will definitely check it out! Farrely's do have pretty good/fitting music in their films. Indeed.
If you like them, check out the second black crowes record, southern harmony and music companion. Also ZZ Top's Tejas. Kings of leon steal from both those records... I mean that as a compliment. Posted via Mobile Device
Great tune that (and of course from their 1st album ). Love this one myself [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yJzN_WYIZMs"]YouTube - Kings of Leon - King of the Rodeo (Rock in Rio)[/ame]
