Ogbah!! Phillips!! back to back sacks! Come on Tua... go out there and win this one. Prove you're worth that contract
This defense has been legit.. if we could add one more above average pass rushing linebacker.. itll be unstoppable
Sanders gets it done!!! It was ugly.... but it's a win. Lack of preseason does this to teams now... hopefully they can get things sorted out before next week.
AWESOME GAME! After coming out flat, we get a few big plays, wake up and get the win. Giving up only 17 is pretty good for the defense too. 1-0. Buffalo next.
Liked what I saw from our D, O still has work to do. Important win today let’s beat Buffalo on Thursday!
Eh not necessarily lack of preseason - we came out blazing last year in LA. A win is a win though. Buffalo was a bit up and down, they are gettable but our offense needs to tighten up and get things rolling. Lots of room for improvement, but at the end of the day we are 1-0 and you never say no to that.
There’s no doubt that the ball strip on our goal line was the turning point, But, we still had to score the points and stop the Jaguars. it was truly awful in the first half, but much better in the second.
Our o line was getting handled for the first half, but when we needed to run in critical plays the o lime as well as Jeff Wilson and Ingold all showed up when it counted!
The strip got us going though if the Jags would have scored there, I don’t think we come back from that, as flat as we looked at that point.
Found a way to win even when it definitely wasn't our"A" game. These are games we historically would lose. Only one game but it's all about the W .
Well, that was quite the roller coaster of a game that's for sure. I guess that's just what we have to expect now with such limited action in preseason. Defense and offense both have alot of work to do. You can't dispute that at this point. But hey, a win is a win no matter how it comes and this team yet again under McDaniel stayed the course... and found a way to get the job done. Got to love that.
We have got to hve a balanced offense.. once we got achane and wilson more involved, everything else opened up.. we can not abandon the run, period. I dont care that tua waddle and tyreek combine for 400 million in salaries. You make our offensive line worse by asking them to pass protect all the time. You abandon the playaction from being a weapon.
I love coming in here after games like this so I can read all the overreactions and hyperbole after the first 2 quarters of the first game of the season. Lol
This was one of McDaniel's worst games of his career. Huge game by the defense, Hill and Waddle. And of course Sanders who redeemed himself. A lot to cleanup on the offensive side of the ball. But, this defense will be for real if everyone stays healthy.
I agree that the play calling was below average, but there were some big drops and penalties that really hurt more than that. Not to mention Tua was off in the first half and missed on some throws he’s usually money on. Both sides cleaned it up in the second half.
