Not sure if anyone saw it but a dirty jet led in with his helmet and hit the back of Boldins neck while another jet rammed his head underneath the facemask. I pray he is ok.
played against boldin in city ball.....and watched him win mr. florida at pahokee......his aunt was my 5th grade teacher.....i pray to god he is ok......get well my man!!!! prayers are with him right now!!!!
Cheap shot? Dirty? No it wasn't. I don't know many players out their who are looking to hurt a guy--especially this Eric Smith fella. He was trying to make a hit and his head lead. It happens sometimes. I don't believe this to be intentional or dirty one bit, just very unfortunate. He will be fined though.
I duno about that. Smith left his feet and lead his head straight into Boldin's helmet. Leaving his feet and connecting helmet to helmet is somewhat dirty. Not like he was the only guy there either.
I've known Anquan and a few members of his family for quite some time. Not really as in touch as I used to be, except for one of his younger cousins who is a good friend of mine. However, hope all is well with him. I saw the hit live, as I was hoping they'd switch coverage to GB/TB, and man, it was nasty. It looked a lot worse than Kennoy Kennedy on Chris Chambers (the way Boldin dropped flat didn't look good at all), but I'm glad to see it isn't as bad. I don't believe it was intentional, though. People who have never played football don't realize how difficult it is to control your body every time you go up to make a hit. Smith will be fined and rightfully so, but I don't believe he intended to injure Anquan. Whisenhunt's decision to run a few more plays also puzzled the hell out of me. The score is 56-35 with about 40 seconds to go. The game is over. One of your players just got carted off the field with what looked like a more than serious injury. Take a knee and call it a game, man.
the reason the defender jumped was because the offensive player was up in the air going high for the pass... i think in no way was it an intentional dirty hit... just unfortunate...
That wasn't a dirty hit, Boldin went in the air and they all hit each other at the same time, the guy wasn't trying to hit him helmet to helmet. This is football, a violent sport, and this happens. Just because it was a Jet player does not make it dirty. Now if you want to talk about them going for two points after the last TD, you can call that cheap (Even if the conversion chart says too). I believe that's what led to the Cards trying to score again instead of just running the clock out.
It happens, you go airborne, 90% of the time you're gonna get the **** knocked out of you. How Chambers didnt get hurt more often is anyone's guess.
Yeah, its not even close to a dirty hit, I just saw the reply again, Boldin gets hit high in the back that knocks him forward and down as the Jet player comes in from the front. If he is not hit in the back first, its just a clean hard hit. I don't see how they can fine anybody on that hit. I hate the Jets just as much as anyone here (See my Avatar), but that was not dirty.
Bleed don't taunt the fish fans, we both know they don't have a secondary. As for the play, I don't think Smith was head hunting. I think Rhodes pushed him into Smith, who was trying to make a play, and it changed the spot where Smith's helmet would have landed on Boldin. He did leave his feet, and did lead with his helmet though. He'll probably get fined for it, but I really don't think he was trying to hurt anyone.
