It is what it is. I almost decided to skip my trip this year to Miami but I'm flying down for the Ravens game and fully anticipate it could be anyone behind center. If Tua is playing that far into the season I'll be pleasantly surprised.

I'm going to that game too. Maybe hook up to tailgate. I met Bob Sampson who is the guy who always wear the Wrestlers mask at a Dolphin BBQ. He said to join him at his big tailgate.

Sounds good! I'll definitely hit you up. Me and my wife take an Uber to the game so I'll just need to know what section to look for.

I think I'm going to rent a car and park. We did the Uber thing last time and it was like the death march in the heat to get to where the Uber picks you up. I'll send you my contact info. Were going to be staying in South Beach the night before and then by the airport that night. We have a flight the next day to Cartagena to do some diving. Maybe we can pick you up if your on the way.

It was painfully obvious last year Tua's hip was not fine, but homers here continued to defend him and Grier as if it was no big deal. Don't expect them to admit they were wrong about Tua anytime soon.

"And in regards to the most important question, Tagovailoa said there was no concern of the injury "popping up" again, unless he takes another big shot."

Yeah, that rarely happens in the NFL

"Tagovailoa said the hip started to feel "a little better" in February. He added that doctors were able to pin down the exact nature of the injury, though he wasn't willing to share that information".

    lol, I feel better now.

Exactly, and he is unquestionably QB1 this season, so all we can do is hope for success. Tua and McD have to know that it’s now or never.

Yeah right. That’s the reason. lol. No, I warned about this all offseason last year and a lot during last season. Now it’s happened.
..and he’s right. Why don’t you come up with some good content or even some kind of rebuttal? Something. Anything.
I really hope we are proven wrong this year. I would love that, but…

Tua is the only quarterback to have 100+ QB ratings each of the past three years- nobody has been more consistent on the field. Saying he's the problem is simply not being honest. Keeping him healthy is however, a big part of the problem.

We've seen skinny Tua get hurt a few seasons in a row. We saw a chubby Tua go a full season without injury. Then we saw chubby Tua with a concussion and a hip injury...maybe multiple concussions. It's frustrating, I get that. But if I'm Miami and I believe in Tua, then I'm keeping him in a clean pocket. The kid already has the fastest release in the game, perhaps the greatest accuracy in the game, so we're not asking for miracles here. Just five or six guys who can keep the kid from getting bull-rushed.

We already know what the kid can do with two seconds in a fairly clean pocket. Imagine if we gave him 3-4 seconds, what that could look like.

If we found someone better at the position, then I wouldn't mind moving on from Tua. But for now, he's the best we have and he's elite in so many aspects of the game. He's also a glass cannon though and needs to be protected...we know that as well. Either the front office will address these issues or they won't, but it's not Tua holding us back. When he's on the field, he delivers more consistently than any other NFL quarterback at this time. We just have to keep the kid healthy and teach him how to take a hit/slide.

If our rookie shines and turns into the next Marino, I'd be over the moon happy. Yet many here forget that Marino had it built into his contracts that he would be fined every time he ran the ball without permission. Marino also had an injury history and Shula built one of the best offensive lines in that era around him. The same goes for Manning, Elway, etc. Teams protected their star asset to let him shine. What fans are asking for Tua is no different- protect your QB, protect your star player.

We just saw the Florida Panthers win the Stanley Cup for the second year in a row. How? Great defense, great team overall. But they also had some thugs out there that protected their star players no matter what. So this isn't even a football thing, it translates to all contact sports. You protect your star players and let them excel.

If Miami does that this season, then I really like our chances against just about anyone. It's just a shame we couldn't do that a few seasons back with fantastic home-grown talent that's now playing elsewhere. But that's the league, it's always a win-now environment because it's so hard to keep the entire band together.
