We need a new owner first and foremost.
    Then a new GM.

Then we worry about the rest. Until those two change, nothing else is going to matter.

Owner won't change. GM hopefully finally will but what Grier has on Ross no one knows. McD needs to be gone. Tua should go too unless the new HC wants him to stay.

Ross is always going to hire an inexperienced HC who doesn't know how to do the job properly. Until the top changes, its just moving furniture around, so big picture we just have to run out the clock and see what happens when Ross isn't around any more.

Grier has been a problem for the team since he was put in charge of the draft while Sparano was the HC. But it doesn't seem like Ross will ever fire him.

Really bad news on the Ross front. He was reportedly offered $10 billion to sell the team and Hard Rock Stadium and declined, saying he wants to keep it in his family. Jennifer Ross will inherit (most of) the team apparently. We're stuck.

Imagine being ret*rded enough that you wanted to extend Tua?

Oh well. Trade everything you can and replace Grier. Team won't be competitive anytime soon.

Tank with Tua. Give Ewers a look at some point, but definitely draft a QB with BIG tools, and keep doing that every year until you find your guy.

When the trade deadline hits I would try to move Achane and Chubb.
Only two players that have any value.
Chubb hasn't played good but his 3 sacks look good on paper.
As for achane by the time we rebuild he will be washed anyway. No point in wasting his career here and maybe we can get a decent pick for him

We'll see what she does when she takes over. No way to have any idea at this point. She could be an awesome owner who hires someone very experienced to run the team as soon as she takes over, or she could sell to someone who will. But we just have to wait it out.

I was completely off the Tua bandwagon during the Flores tenure, got on bandwagon when McD arrived and have been nothing but supportive of him.

However, something is wrong with Tua. Those beautiful deep balls he threw in 22, 23 and 24 are a thing of the past. He has lost arm strength, mobility and accuracy. His judgement is off.

Sadly, I think we need to move on. I don't think my eyes are deceiving me, the drop off is akin to what happened to Pennington after multiple surgeries. I can't understand the "why" but it doesn't matter anymore.

Asking if we need a new quarterback is the wrong question. I agree with Bumrush, something is off this year with Tua. Was he a flash of lightening in the bottle 2022/2024? Quite possibly and it may indeed be time to move on from him, but let’s be completely honest. Does anyone here TRULY believe the Dolphins would be any better with another quarterback?

Would the Dolphins be any better with Josh Allen, Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson or any other quarterback under center? I can confidently say absolutely not, not when you have personnel like Chris Grier managing this team’s talent.

Before I even consider any player changes, before I even consider any coaching changes, a change at general manager is paramount. If anyone thinks this team would be better with a different quarterback, with Chris Grier as GM, you’re not looking at the totality of the Dolphins problem.

Yes, we'd definitely be better off with a bunch of other QBs this year. Tua isn't playing anywhere near the level he played in past years. It shows statistically too. His rating is 87.1 which is below league average.

I dont know if they need a new QB. I see guys like Baker, Darnold, Goff, Geno, Daniel Jones be in better organizations (ok not Goff for this scenario) and be much better. The reality is, Tua hant had even decent protection since he's been in the league.

He's regressed no doubt, gets happy feet, locks on to a receiver., doesnt let plays develop sometimes. was any of this the case when he came in? or did he develop these habits?

Someone else hit the nail on the head we first need a new owner, GM, and head coach. Since ownership won't change lets start by removing Greer and McDaniels as a matter of fact I'm scratching my head wondering why he is still the coach.
Sorry all you Tua supporters, the guy is not a starting QB caliber don't keep telling us how accurate he is, It's not hard when the majority of your throws are at or behind the line scrimmage. All these years in the league and he still throws stupidly into coverage. Sorry Tua hit his ceiling years ago, there is no upswing and McDaniels deserves to be fired for hitching himself to the Tua post.

Brad, our defense is giving up 370 yards per game and has allowed 11 touchdowns and 97 points…in only 3 games!!!

If anyone thinks a different quarterback is going to make a difference when we can’t stop a team from scoring at will…

We'd definitely be better on offense, which is ranked 25th in points and yards right now. Would it improve our record? I think we'd be at minimum 1-2, not sure about 2-1 due to the defense.

Dude had 3 chances in last two weeks to win a game and potentially tie a game.
    Failed all 3 times.Not a franchise Qb

The team stinks. The guy on the Bengals came in for Burrow and promptly threw three interceptions and they still won the game.

If Tua throws three interceptions the Dolphins are losing that game 56-10.

Your franchise QB should be a major reason you win games, not just a cog in the machine. Yes, the team currently sucks as a whole, but so does Tua.

In the Marino years, no matter how bad the team was, we always felt we had a chance to win the game simply because Marino was our QB. Tua does not even come close to that.

Well yes, they would be better with any of those players, as those players can manage the bad surrounding cast better than Tua can. That some would maybe change McDaniel's playcalls.

We can't even run a QB sneak, for crying out loud.

Personally, I've always advocated for drafting a mid-round quarterback every season, carry three quarterbacks, and always have one or two in development. Why? Because Tannehill is great....oops, Tannehill sucks...wait, Tannehill is pretty great...nope, Tannehill is a bum. Same thing with Henne, Tua, etc, etc, etc. Every QB has strengths and limitations.

Here's what I wouldn't do- trade Tua, draft a high 1st round QB, build an entire offense around that guy. That's what our GMs continue to do and it's like throwing darts....don't bet the entire future on one player. Look at horse racing, every stable has a dozen or more promising young colts before racing season. Some are decent, some aren't, and every now and then one is a total stud. They never actually know though until the horses are loaded up into the gate and set loose against competition.

We need that same philosophy, fill our stable with young talent and let the stud QB start. Or trade for journeyman QB outcasts like a Baker Mayfield and develop them for a few seasons; that's okay too. I mean, look what we got out of Fitzpatrick...on a team that was built to lose all 17 games. My point is to keep developing multiple QBs through the draft and free agency until you have a clear starter...and even then you continue doing what you're doing since that won't be your guy forever.
