Tua is not the only one with a porous o-line, do you think Herbert had more to work with last Sunday?
Again, how has our defense been? When our defense is so horrible that you're letting opposing teams score at will...
Yes, obviously. They ran the ball at will with practice squad running backs and he was only pressured on 30% of his dropbacks.
Defense hasn’t been good at all I agree, but Tua has put them in bad situations quite often this season. I‘m not saying Tua is at fault for everything or that he is the main reason (that is Grier/Ross), but he definitely is a part of the problem and likely not the solution.
Practice squad RB‘s and backup Tackles, how did he do? Did he have a turnover + the D was getting to him, they just couldn’t bring him down.
Even if it was the play call, it was terribly executed. THAT'S the entire point. I've called for McDaniel/Grier/Tua to be moved on from. Criticizing Tua's performance on that final play is in no way me absolving McDaniel of his responsibility. That being said, you need to seriously start considering whether Tua and his limitations are affecting McDaniel's calls. Again, this is not a defense of McDaniel, he claimed Tua was awesome and he could get great performance out of him. This is a bad team. Bad coaching. Bad players. Bad culture. Bad. There is zero reason to defend any of it.
Oh c'mon Res, be realistic here will you? With 5 seconds left on the game clock, thanks to the defense playing like a wet paper bag with a hole in it, the game was OVER. If Tua was able to launch the ball 70 yards for a desperate hail mary or if he did complete the pass for sandlot football to try and score, the game was OVER!!! We weren't scoring...period!!! Its so frustrating when people are so fixated on ONE player they can't see the obvious; the DEFENSE lost us that game.
The game was really lost in he third quarter. Look at the offensive stats for both teams in the third quarter. I was actually surprised how good the phins secondary played for a good portion of the game with the exception of the third quarter.
Bru he threw essentially a dump off for a pick. Are you kidding me? It's not like he tried to make a play and threw a pick. He had a 58 rating bro
I'm not fixated on one player. I've said this repeatedly. None of us are focused solely on Tua and acting like he is the one and only problem with the team. Just another strawman to beat up on.
But the game wasn't lost in the third quarter. We took the lead in the 4th with 45 seconds left to play!!!! How come some of you refuse to accept the facts? Did we or did we not take the lead with 45 seconds left to play?
The way you guys look at things is so bizarre to me. We had three possessions end in interceptions. Clearly everything wasn't sunshine and roses for the offense. Sitting here and acting like Tua and the offense were good is ridiculous. Without Achane, we aren't even close to in that game. Give Achane all the credit. He's the only one who deserves it.
The game was lost in the third quarter? Really? Because with :46 left in the game, the Dolphins had just scored the go ahead touchdown.
Those last 2 drives were impressive under those circumstances, I was impressed with him and something we rarely get to see. That last game is mostly on the D because they couldn’t bring Herbert down, I don’t argue that. But let’s not pretend Tua is playing good football thus far this season.
The offense produced 14 points in the 4th quarter to take the lead with 45 seconds left. Jesus dude, are you denying that? Nobody said anything different. It is a full blown non arguable fact that the offense scored 14 points in the 4th while giving us the lead with an opportunity to win! FFSakes man! What are you even on about? The defense gave the points right back after we scored!!!!! These are facts and you are still arguing them!!!! LMMFAO! Holy **** man! Achane doesn't play quarterback! It's impossible to give him ALL the credit! He didn't compete passes to Jaylen Waddle! He damn sure didn't throw it to himself! My God this is beyond stupid! Tua was 11/12 99 yards, 2TD drives in that quarter! I'm not saying he's the GOAT of QBs but this is absolute nonsense ignoring what he did. Oh well.
I remember when it was "it doesn't matter what he did in the 3rd quarter, he didn't get it done in the clutch!" Now he must play a perfect 4 quarters and have multiple clutch game winning drives.
That's fine. They can move the goal poasts all they want. I have no delusions about Tua. He's been bad at times, but the losses from these last two weeks are not on him.
All you dummies have been saying is it doesn't matter how he plays the whole game unless he's clutch at the end. Now he gets no credit for being clutch and leading two 4th quarter touchdown drives to take the lead because he didn't play great all game? Are you dumb or trolling?
41 year old Aaron Rodgers hail mary attempt last night had 70 air yards, it reached the end zone.. and that still had a better shot than that dumb 3 yard throw INT Tua threw at the end against the Chargers. tua is in his 20s in his “prime”, thats why he got paid like Mahomes, old man rodgers cant possibly be out throwing him. Hell so far having a better season than Tua
I get everyone is on edge but all parties need to stop calling each other dumb and other things. Let's keep it as civil as we can. It's turning out to be a hard year yet again and I get frustrations boil over. Can we give each other a little grace in these difficult times please. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Let the complaining recommence.
I agree with you, but how fitting that you have to quote me again, when the „Tuas“ are the ones who can’t hold back on the name calling and who are derailing threads with it. If you moderate then at least call the ones out who started it, but why should you start with that now….
I did see that, your timing is just always impeccable when it comes to „moderating“ things on here, if it would‘ve been a first I‘d be fine with it. It’s just history shows me you‘ve been quite one sided when it comes to things like that. So don’t give me a geez.
I am starting to suspect that some of you are just trolling with your Tua takes. The absurd statements are going too far and are no longer even a little believable. Young Tom Brady was around when they still did the deep throw contest at the pro bowl, his longest was 62 yards. Vinny Testaverde has the record with 80 yards. I'm clearly picking Vinny first.
