https://www.yardbarker.com/nfl/arti...sue_jaylen_waddle_via_trade/s1_17098_42911876 Reports are that Giants are going to aggressively pursue Waddle prior to the trade deadline. Reports out there that Waddle has unfollowed Tua and Miami on social media, and started following a number of Giants players. Gonna be interesting.
At least do some research instead of posting a spam "Yardbarker" website as a credible source. Waddle follows over 1,000 people on his Instagram and most of them are NFL players, not just Miami Dolphins. He still follows Tua and the Miami Dolphins. Jesus christ this place is becoming worse than Dolphins facebook.
In addition to this, Waddle would have an 11m cap number if he's on the team next season, or the team would take a 26m dead money hit in 2026 if he's not. So the return on a trade would need to be massive to make that viable. No way you can justify that for a 4th round pick or something.
He goes too far and gets too cute every time. Can't leave well enough alone and trades the picks he's gotten to move up in a bad deal instead of staying put.
I mean, if someone offered what looks to be a high first round pick, that's a reason. But that's very unlikely.
I catch Chat Sports once in awhile. Nick Roloff guy is ranting about not trading either Waddle or Achane. Why? If someone offers 2nd or 3rd round picks for either, they need to be moved. Trade everyone. Love Achane would be sorry to see him go
Jaylen Waddle is absolutely a tradeable commodity. My biggest caveat here is that Grier absolutely cannot be in charge of drafting this year. If he is, then I don't want to see us with any additional picks. However, if we are to move on from Grier I am all for developing a stockpile for a new GM. Waddle is a very good player but I just don't see him as being among the elite. His hands aren't great, he has had injury issues and he's not the physical specimen like Brown, Jefferson or Lamb. But again, he IS a very good player, good enough to command some solid compensation. From a team like the Giants I'd demand their second rounder and preferably a third (maybe have to a swap in the 5th or something to balance). Giants will be picking too high in the first for them to give that up, thus my 2 and 3 demand. For a good team picking in the lower part of round 1, I'm demanding that and maybe a 4th (again might need a swap at some point to balance). I'm also doing the same for Achane.
