i'm not offended or upset. but all this talk about this side taking the high road and being civil, and it's not exactly being followed through on this site's end. handle it how you guys want, i'm not offended. if you guys want to blast and all that good stuff, do it in the club level where they can't read it... that way you guys appear to be taking the high road and "classier" to everyone else who's spectating. continuing on it here is just adding fuel to the fire IMO. i'm not really that passionate about all this, but when you watch us criticize coaches, players, and owners of teams for doing the same things we're doing here.... ? and i really don't care, just playing devil's advocate here. i can't remember a time ever where airing dirty laundry or drama was a good thing, really. and why do i care enough to write about this? because i love TP and want it to be the higher standard i hold it to. just sayin...
For the record, I have had a blast in here today, and I really DIDNT care what they changed my name to. Its more about blowing off steam and acting like kids again. Not at the expense of another site. IF we had done this in the Just To Talk thread, would you feel better about it Tex?
I vote we do what is best done in the Lounge. Have fun. There are numerous threads I don't go into, because I don't care for the discussion. If this thread is one of those for you, then, by all means, find a different one. I had fun.. I laughed at ourselves and at a silly situation. Was I bitter? heck no! To me, laughing at it doesn't validate it... it INvalidates it. I'm just not sure why someone who claims not to care, has now written two paragraphs admonishing it. I'm not upset or offended... I'm just sayin'.
Well said. Also, no one got "blast"ed in this thread unless their name was Lucky. We simply had lighthearted fun with the fact that someone else referred to certain members of this site as something they are not, nothing more nothing less. If you do not care for the humor then by all means feel free to click elsewhere. No harm done.
...and for the record ... "taking the high road", IMO, is allowing humor and levity, instead of censorship and taking it way too seriously. We could have gone grade school, and ranted and raved about being called "fascist" .. instead we did take the high road and laughed it off... as adults should. If our antics offend anyone at FinHeaven, I'll be sure to apologize.
