The wheels are coming off lol. Hopefully Lackey is getting all the runs out of system tonight, and will be well rested a week from now. We still clinched home field due to the Rays losing today I believe so some good news.

Lackey better not do that in the playoffs since he's the ace.

I wouldn't worry, I'd just brush it off and say hey better him have a bad start now instead of October.

Small consolation is that Napoli's hot streak is continuing. Batting just .218 beginning of September, he's batting .407 with 5 HR's, 3 SB, and 13 RBI in the past month.

Napoli has been on fire. Hopefully he keeps that going. His HR numbers this year for the amount of at-bats he has is pretty unreal.

It would be pretty cool. And when the Angels win, I'd be able to talk trash to Dodger fans for the rest of my life...Make it happen baseball Gods!

Lester keeps falling behind the hitters, have to make him pay before he completely settles in.

The bottom of the order aren't doing good for the Angels right now, unlike the top of the order. I hope Napoli's hot streak didn't end when the regular season ended.

The Figgins of a couple years ago needs to go someplace and die and bring the Figgins of last year back. I dont understand why him and Aybar havent tested Lowell w/ a bunt.

The Fab Four (Tex, Anderson, Vlad, Torii) are good but you gotta give them some help.

Looks like everyone in the infield outside of Tex can't hit a ball.

Damn...I look at our line-up and for the life of me can't figure out how we only score one run:pity:.Hats off to Boston, they came to play and we didn't.You'd think our Halos would be tried of Boston handing them their a**es yet again in the playoffs.:tantrum: Let's see what happens on Friday.

I was thinking the same thing about the lineup. When I saw the lineup for the game I said to myself, "man, I really like this lineup quite a bit." 1 run, due in large part to an error later, I'm banging my head into the wall yelling wtf! This is a good team though, win tomorrow and we still got plenty of life left in us.

They need consistent production out of the bottom of the order. If I were a pitcher, I'd certainly have more confidence pitching to them than I would any other team's bottom. Jason Bay and Mike Lowell, two 30HR hitters and former 100 RBI hitters, are Boston's 6th and 7th batters. Angels field an oft-injured Kendrick and a career .248 hitter in Napoli.

Kendrick is a fine 6 hitter when he's healthy. When he's in a rhythm he's a great hitter, just not sure he's been back long enough to get his timing down. Napoli had a great season, cant ask for much more from him. They obviously have to do better than they did yesterday, but if Figgins gets on a base the bottom of the lineup wouldnt have been needed lol.

If you'd told me before the game that the Sox big hitters for the most part (Pedroia/Ortiz/Youks) would be non factors in the game and that the Angels 2-5 hitters would be 8 for 15 I wouldnt have thought it possible to only score 1 run and lose that game. :pity:

He had a great little streak but I don't know if he can keep it up. Keyword is healthy for Kendrick. I knew the 2-5 hitters would do well, it's the rest that need to start stepping up.

Not having Isturis is a major problem right now. I was sure wishing that Isturis would have been availble to hit for Aybar in the 9th:no:

Its pretty much do or die tonight. Hopefully Santana brings it and we can jump on Dice K early and get to their bullpen. Im so sick of losing to Boston.:pity:

Think Mike Lowell is out tonight. Does that mean Youks moves to 3rd and Casey plays 1B?

edit: nm, found the Sox lineup

    1. Jacoby Ellsbury, CF (.000, .000, .000, 3 at-bats)
    2. Dustin Pedroia, 2B (.000, .000, .000, 3 ab)
    3. David Ortiz, DH (.556, .636, 1.111, 9 ab)
    4. Kevin Youkilis, 3B (.500, .667, .500, 2 ab)
    5. J.D. Drew, RF (.286, .286, .429, 7 ab)
    6. Jason Bay, LF (Has never faced Santana)
    7. Mark Kotsay, 1B (.389, .450, .500, 18 ab)
    8. Jason Varitek, C (.000, .111, .000), 8 ab)
    9. Alex Cora, SS (.667, .750, 1.667. 3 ab)

The numbers are the players career #s vs Santana apparently.

    Angels lineup

    1. Chone Figgins, 3B

    3. Mark Teixeira, IB
    4. Vladimir Guerrero, DH

That was a good game last night. The Halos were just on the short end of it.Btw last night just added to my reasons why I have no interest in re-signing Rodiguez.I'd like to think going into Boston our Halos will show some heart and extend this series a little longer.

Tip my hat to you guys. I would have put money on the table that after Ellsbury's 3 run 'single' in the 3rd that the Angels would have packed it up but they showed some fight. Looking forward to tonight's game and hopefully it's over around the 3 hour mark.

How Kendrick isnt just sitting and waiting for a fast ball, when that's really all he can hit atm, is mind boggling. Guy gets to second and it's almost a foregone conclusion that he's going to be stranded lol.

Angels need an upgrade in the infield in terms of offensive production. They did well with Tex but maybe someone on the other side of the diamond...
