My wife said Sullivan has pointy ears like Spock. I said great, he’ll be logical

Halfey said all the right things. He does give off some Dan Campbell vibes, which God knows this team needs toughness. In fact, I think this is our attempt at the Dan Campbell route we should have taken from the start. The players will need to buy into his approach to this. This is an identity change, and I think we're all ready for that. Should see a different team on the field next season. Now, whether it's a different team that wins remains to be seen, but new coach, new look, I'm all for it. Let's see what goes down. My initial knee-jerk reaction to him being hired was stupid on my part. I know nothing about the guy, and I want to see how he does before judging him. He doesn't look like someone you would want to mess with. He doesn't have that pushover look to him that McDaniel had. Halfey has some fire to him, and I imagine he's an intense dude to be around on the field. He looks confident, and he looks like he earns his respect. That's just based on his interviews, so I could be way off, but I don't think so. I think part of a head coach's job is to be a hell of a motivator. You follow a guy like Halfey into a fight. You trust him to lead even though he's not the biggest or strongest. McDaniel gets his and your *** whooped. I'm joking of course, but I'm not. McDaniel is the furthest type I'm personally seeking motivation from. I don't think the players fought for him with everything they had due to him being so laxed, and chill. Halfey looks like the type that's going to get more out of his guys. He's new, he's hungry, and he seems motivated. This dude in no way compares to Joe Philbin, other than they both came from Green Bay. He had the Packers defense cooking all year long, up until they started getting injured. If he can change the identity of this team, I'm all for it. I doubt he fixes it in the first year, but we're going to know by seasons end if he's our guy or not.

I like the Sullivan hire because he’s a supersized scout and that’s what our GM position should be about

the synergy of working in a good relationship can also pay dividends

I already like Hafley for what he stands for, we’ll see about the schematic side.

    “ we’re gonna practice tougher”

    my favorite quote from him.
